A morning stroll from the city centre to the old town, and stopped to admire the canyon. A deep chasm gourged by the river. Crossed by a bridge, there is the river, plenty of greenery, and an assortment of older type peasant housing, and the odd commercial building.

There are several sets of stone stairs down into the canyon from various places in the old city. Easiest to find are the stairs from the bridge to the castle. Walking in the canyon is peaceful and interesting to see the houses of people living there now as well as houses overgrown with vegetation. Also you come across old city walls and a few more old city towers. The river is pretty too.
