If you happen to be staying on the GC make sure you make some time to do the Federation Walk, it winds its way up to the spit along the beach. Lovely spot for swim so don't forget your swimmers.

Discovered the federation walk completely by accident trying to find a route through to the beach. It was so lovely that we walked the whole route before crossing over to the beach and went back a couple of time after aswell.

Couldn't ask for more for a morning walk... Freash fragrant air, willy-wagtails chirping. magpies choralling, ocean on one side and coastal bushland on the other with glimpses of the mountains. Delicious.

I cycled this track and it felt rather isolated but at the end you wind up at The Spit and everything is alright.

I think they have to be on a lead but on the beach we let ours run. You have to be away from the flags. Lovely beach to walk on
