Basically is a small semi circle of a stony/sandy beach to moor up on when renting your own boat for the day. We didn't see any turtles and the whole turtle breeding/living area is cordoned off to people. Leaving only a 10 foot width of the small beach to use. It was nice to stop here and swim a bit.... I enjoyed the view more than the food. However, the place was clean, the staff was friendly and definitely lovely beach view ;)

Went to the island on a taxi boat stayed for about an hours on beach. Not much there really small beach, turtle nests, a refreshment /bar boat and bathers. Water taxi took us around to caves on the island which lasted ten minutes. Water is nice and clear there. Cost 10 to 12 euros to get there each, or you... More

We came by here on a turtle spotting trip for a 30 minute swimming stop. It is lovely to see something different of the area, and it is a nice island. The beach is pebbly and drops off quite quickly into the water. What sand there is is sectioned off due to turtle egg laying. There is a food stand... More

As part of an organised boat (glass bottomed) trip we visited Marathonissi to see the turtles hatching island. It was a really unique visit in the island where the turtle eggs are laid (they are marked) I found also amazing the boat-canteens that they are docked on the island selling snacks, ice creams etc accompanied by reggae music!!

It is a beautiful island highly preferred by turtles for nesting judging by the active nests. Most of the interior is fenced to protect the nests. Only a narrow beach strip is allowed for the day visitors. You can get there by boat mainly from Keri and other places. The tourist loads are a double-edge sword. My wife had the luck... More

Its shape reminds us of a turtle. It is a small island. Boats can take you there from the beach Laganas. You can swim there, the waters are deep. You are not allowed to walk around, since there the sea turtles leave their eggs and the area is protected. You will also find a boat that sells snacks, ice creams, drinks.
