Well worth a visit, such a pretty place a highlight of our holiday. We did a boat trip but wish we just got a cab to the Island and got to enjoy it properly. Saw Turtles up close, wish we brought stuff to jump in the water with them and get a better experience.

You can access here by private hire boat or any amount of boat tours. The access to the beach due to turtles breeding and nesting is limited but the water and surrounding scenic sights are just stunning. lovely to bathe in its deep salty waters

Rented a boat for the day with the lads and had a wicked day out, also came to this island where they had a boat selling drinks and stuff, sea is so warm and crystal clear great for a swim and if your lucky enjoy like we were maybe even see some turtles.

The trip to the island in a speedboat was quite exciting, but after being on the Island for just half an hour, boredom stuck. Because of the turtles (which were nowhere to be seen during my visit), there are no establishments on the beach to buy food or drink, but there is a small boat selling that kind of thing,... More

This was a true disapointment! A dirty beach loaded with tourists. We were dropped there during our tour for an hour but there was really nothing there but sand, water and about 20 boats full of tourists while our tourorganiser said he was the only one with a permit for this Island. Yeah right....

If you're visiting Zakynthos you know all the hype is around the turtles. We stopped at turtle island on a boat tour and were lucky enough to see 3 or 4 babies hatch and climb out of the ground into the sea. If you rent a boat definitely stop for a few hours. There are boats with food and drink... More
