Happened to find this lovely art shop, whilst out window shopping, on show in the window where miniature Greek houses, were shown clinging to the cliffs in typical Santorini style. I
was really attracted to them, windmills, big and small, and various buildings decorated in bright typical Greek fashion. I finally made my mind up, and went in to buy it. Whilst waiting at the counter, there on a shelf staring at me was a
Pelican, which reminded me of one that was always on the harbour front in Paphos, Cyprus,
and I was fascinated, by it's authenticity and it's vivid colours. I asked 'how much' it was
280 euros. My wife grabbed my arm and tried to pull me out of the shop, the young assistant
(afraid she was losing a sale said, we have a smaller one, which was 180 euros, I offered 150 euros she rang her boss but he was out. I
arranged to call back. I did and was told 160 euros. I stuck to my offer, she rang her boss, and I'm now the owner of a great looking Pelican. (I've persuaded my wife it will be worth a fortune, on the antiques roadshow) in the future. If you like ceramics, I recommend you visit it.

very great Raku ceramics, some of them at a good, because "offer" price. also good selection of souvenir items which are somewhat "out of the box". It is great that the shop ships the items as ceramics are heavy...

A small lovely shop filled with fine handmade pieces made by real talented artists . A very good place to buy something valuable for your home or presents .
The pelican collection is excellent,as well as miniatures of Greek traditional houses .

I happened upon Gabbiano Nero on my last day in Santorini. This shop stood out with its stylish, ceramics that captured the spirit of the Island. I got handmade ceramics to give as gifts which were different from the usual souvenir. The proprietor was friendly and knowledgeable. If you want a unique, stylish gift this is the shop to visit.

In this shop there are some very expensive pieces of art work behind the till that you can see on the website, but there are also some very quirky ceramic replicas of Greek houses and other buildings which are lovely. They can be used on their own or there is space for a tea light to be placed inside the ceramic houses so that the windows light up. Very cute, unusual and attractive.
The quirky houses are priced around €18 to €55 depending on size.
I bought 5 pieces of "art work" / ceramic pieces from this shop whislt on holiday in Kamari for presents and at a very reasonable price.
The young girl in the shop is very pleasant and speaks good English.
