I love Kurrawa Beach and have spent my summers there for the last 20 years. Disappointingly, this year they are building a new Surf club on the foreshore and at this stage it is an eyesore that cannot be avoided anyway you look. Access to the beach is slightly reduced due to the building works and the old toilet/shower block... More

A great place to catch up with large groups of people, the food is pretty good and the service the same. Location is fantastic, the club needs a bit of a facelift inside as it is looking a bit tired. Recommend sitting outside on the balcony.

The food here was diabolical. Bain marie food made on the cheap end of cheap. How does it get rave reviews? Out of a table of 30 athletes, no one said their food was 'good'. "Oversalted, oversugared, bottled sauce, leathery meat/chicken/seafood, all the flavours blended in together into the taste of bottled tomato paste..." but these guys are the types... More

This beach is just next to Surfers Paradise beach in the Broadbeach area. You can easily come here from Surfers Paradise town center by using the G-Link train and stopping at Broadbeach south station. This is just one of the many beaches along the Gold Coast, in the vicinity of Surfers Paradise. Quite an okay beach, nothing spectacular, but good... More

Of the wide open beach along this stretch of coast, my pick is Kurrawa. The waves are manageable by swimmers of all abilities yet you can still catch a ride on a boogie board or as a body surfer. The area surrounding the beach is pretty and the surf club is a great place for a meal while having a... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Kurrawa Beach Surf Club after walking on the beach following a heavy downpour.

Good beach well patrolled by life savers with clearly marked flags to swim between. Bit windy the day I was there and the waves a tad choppy which made it difficult to body board for any length of distance. A good experience but the weather could have made it better. Beautiful view of the beach having a beer on the... More
