Lovely family walk. Easily accessible circular route around Nendaz. Peaceful walk mainly in the forest following Les Bisses. Starts and ends from the town centre (near the Tourist Information point).

The area of Nendaz, and other places in the Valais region, are famous for their bisses, irrigation channels, that wind their way down the mountain. A number of them have delightful walking paths alongside. The paths are well maintained and not steep gradients. Our favorites are the Bisse du Milieu up to Planchouet (lovely lunch stop with plenty of places to picnic or a couple of restaurants) and then the Bisse Vieux back. The first of these has a treasure hunt for children along its route most summers; pick up an entry form from the tourist office, find the clues and collect your prize at the tourist office on your return. Both have some interesting features and sculptures along the route, and fabulous views wherever you look. We have been doing this walk regularly for some years, with children as young as 4, and while progress is not always fast, there's enough to keep them interested. And if you don't fancy the return walk, you can get the bus back from Planchouet.

Were dropped off in Nendaz by the mini bus from Veysonnaz. A Stunning walk along the bisse, with cascading waterfalls, little bridges a few rocks but nothing too difficult. We stopped off at a restaurant about 1 hour 40 mins in for a beer which was lovely, in a little valley near siviez. although the waitress was a bit miserable the beer and view made up for that. Well worth doing.

We come to walk the bisses in Nendaz each year and just love the walks and chocolate box views around every corner.

Beautiful views in very peaceful environment. There are plenty of trails to chose from, all with different levels of difficulty and length. Nature is amazing and the views make it worthwhile the efforts

We walked the beautiful trail from the town center. The views were incredible. The trail is easy along the flowing water. They are well marked and kept up. There are some beautifully carved whimsical sculptures along the way as well. At the halfway mark ( 5-6 k) there is a great coffeeshop and bus stop for those who wish to take a bus back to Nendaz. For those who wish to go on the trail leads back to Nendaz.

We have so far traversed 35 Bisses in this area. The Bisses de Nendaz are very tranquil, not too overrun with tourists and delightfully calm and tranquil

The whole area is beautiful. Download a app or take a map but the routes are well signposted.
Suggestions:
- Trainers rather than walking boots will suffice.
- Parking is free.
- take water (although there are several water fountains depending on which bisse you walk)
- Stop at one of the many cafe's for a coffee or Rivella and you won't be disappointed.
- in Summer set off mid-morning to escape the worst of the heat in the afternoon

If you are looking for moderate-low difficulty walk, go for the bisses. Wonderful and peaceful walks in the woods , along canals, fresh and not boring at all. Mind the wooden sculptures located all along !

Merci pour votre avis, combien de temps dure la balade en sachant que nous ne sommes pas de grands marcheurs ?
