This is a beautiful little monument to Vasco day Gama in St Helena Bay. The monument is well looked after. Well worth a visit.

Sad to see history going down this way. Would not mind to pay something that is upkept. NOT worth the visit.

Nothing special but being history, it's nice to say you were there. St Helenabay has very calm water, so during the whale season it is nice to be there and see them. Just a pass through sight.

Very interesting attraction. Unfortunately it is not being kept clean around the monument. Broken bear bottles abound.

A replica monument commemmorating Da Gama's landing in 1497. Best visited in spring flower season (late July - mid-September) when the veld bursts with myriad colours of indigenous blooms.

This is just a plain monument commemorating Vasco de Gama's arrival here. Worth turning 100 metres off the road if you are interested.
