Saturday is market day in Vera. The best market in the area as it winds through the lovely town, super authentic Spanish feel with a lovely town square with coffee shops etc. Some good shops too. Go early for parking but then sit and have a tostado in the sun and watch the Spanish ladies fill their trollies with the best local produce you can get.

The square is worth an evening visit during the festive period.
A popular magnet for the locals. The place is lit and decorated .

Lovely plaza in Vera where you can sit and watch the world go by over a coffee or beer from the cafe on the right. The church is also beautiful so well a look inside. Busy on Saturdays as it's market day so nab a seat as soon as you see one free.

The plaza is very pretty and has a nice cafe on it. But there is not much for tourists and everything shuts down during siesta time. There is not much to do in the area, so the points are for the look of the place!

Lovely place to sit and have a coffee and people watch. it was first communion for some children when we were there and it was fascinating to see the little girls go into the church in their long white dresses and the boys in their military uniforms. We have also been to an olde worlde market which was really interesting.

A very nice main square where you can enjoy a coffee with the locals, the atmosphere and the impressive church in a pleasant town not very marked by tourists.
On a Saturday with the market on, it is quite lively.

Small, traditional Spanish town with a town square, large church and coffee shops. Some small shops and gift shops around. Great view of the sea from the shopping streets. Worth a visit and morning coffee.

This is a typical spanish square in a typical spanish town. There are very few tourists so be prepaired to speak the language.

Central to the town with a late medieval church dominating one side of this busy Plaza. A good spot to stop for a refreshing beer or coffee, perhaps a snack, as the world slowly revolves around you.

Good lively market. Lots of choice. Plenty of places to sit and have a cooling drink or something to eat. Based in the main Plaza of the town. Quite busy but can usually find parking in the vicinity!
