Have been to this beach many times, both on own and with partners.
The nudist area sometimes mixes into the clothed area, but never seems to be a problem.
Obviously very busy in summer but never feels too crowded. Have never used the bars or stayed at the resort. Always drive down (never had a problem parking). Pull up, strip off and walk from car to beach if you want to be naked from moment u arrive. You can also walk round the resort area naked if you desire.
Had a quick trip to local area and went for a run early morning. Very chilly but not a soul there; can highly recommend jogging there this time of year (clothed or naked - I did both!) Without seeing anyone bat a couple of dog walkers.

We enjoyed our stay within the complex, but on leaving, I must agree with the previous writer that the beach area is poor, as is the beach. Regards, the complex it was clean with a large outdoor pool, and yes, the indoor pool roof is rusty and is being replaced this year. Nice to be able to walk to the beach naked. Once outside the nude area, there are a few excellent coffee shops and restaurants, so all and all it was an enjoyable visit with some very good friends

We were vacationing in Spain and driving along the Mediterranean coast. Being long time naturists we decided to spend a few days in Vera Playa. We rented a nice apartment in Vera natura and basically spent our time there nude living the naturist lifestyle. The beach is wide, long and beautiful. The sand is soft and fine. There are life guards and several beach bars as you walk. The north end of the beach is where the Vera Playa Hotel is located and is a naturist hotel. And going south is a long stretch of beach until the nude beach ends. The restaurants in the naturist area are a bit limited. Most are naturist friendly during the day but except for maybe two places you have to dress for dinner. We pretty much ate at the naturist friendly restaurants when we went out. The beach bars and restaurants are all naturist friendly but they close fairly early by european standards so dinner is usually not found there. The crowd at the beach is very mixed. Many naturist families as well as the usual groups of young and old that you would find on any beach except everyone is nude. It was a very pleasant and relaxing place to stay.
Overall, we will definitely by back to Vera Playa. The beach was beautiful and very relaxing. A great naturist beach vacation.

Arrived in mid May with my wife for a quiet break although holiday season had just started still enough bars and eateries to get on with beaches were clean and plenty of room one down side no sign of sunbed perhaps too early in season.weather was nice mid 20's with a constant breeze..best bit no noisy testosterone fuelled youths very family orientated.

We visited this speech in July and it was absolutely packed out. This is pretty close to my definition of a perfect naturist beach. A great cross-section of types of people many couples and families also giving the beach a very wholesome feel that some natures pictures often lack. The beach bars or chiringuitos are great with my favourite being Chiringuito Vera Natura. Good choice, value and food.
Visited in July and it is amazing to see the beach still quite busy up to 8:30pm in the evening with many people arriving for an evening beach session at 5pm onwards.

Vera Playa has a lovely long stretch of naturist beach, with sunbeds for rent, beach bars (naturist) for lunch, lifeguards, and a really relaxed atmosphere. It's a family beach, so in season you'll often see 3-generation family groups - some naked, some not - but all enjoying the sea and the sunshine. Like most naturist beaches, the noise level is quite low.
There's one hotel on the naturist beach, plus thousands of apartments, many of which are available to rent. The area is an official naturist zone, so the streets are naturist too and you can wander from your apartment to the beach and back without bothering with clothes. My wife and I have been visiting every June for many years, we just love it.

If you are a naturist this is a FAR more genuine experience than, say, Maspalomas. Very little evidence of swingers (though there probably were a small minority). Very family orientated with a mix of appx 75% Spanish, 20% BRitish and a sprinkling of other nationalities.
If you are NOT a naturist and are offended by naked bodies, stick rigidly to the clothed areas.
Very warm sea in August and a very chilled vibe. Plenty of bars. Safe for swimming, though a tad choppy on some of the windier days.
We loved it.

Many people baulk at the idea of going naked on beaches but secretly want to experience it. We have been naturists for many years and Vera Playa ticks all the boxes. There are better beaches in Spain but this is a long stretch of coastline with plenty of beach bars, showers and toilets. It’s a designated area for naturists from around the world.
Most of the accommodation around this beach are apartments in a gate controlled estate and are naturist only.
If you’ve never experienced a naturist holiday before, Vera Playa is a great place to start!

A massive long sandy beach. Nice safe bathing as long as the sea is calm, but some big waves while we were there. Nudist section is at one end of the beach so stay at las Marinas end to avoid any shocks!

Went there a few times first before I bought a villa in a nudist compound. Fabulous place. Long white sandy beach, and basically there comes no end to the nudist beach as there are no signs where it starts or where it begins. Of course, at some point there is plenty of textile, but they don't seem to care that there is a naked man walking among them (and vice versa, we don't care if they walk on "our" beach). It's a free for all and legal in Spain. In addition, walking naked through the small town, go shopping, all naked. Restaurants and bars on the beach, just stay naked. Police in cars, public buses : no problem. Nudity as it should be.Towards the southern "end" of the nudist section it is very gay, some cruising at night. Safe. Lots of free parking space by the beach. Not to be missed !

What are peoples thoughts on what 2021 summer will be like at vera?
I saw a YouTube vid the other day and it was a ghost town, but it is early and Covid is obviously still a factor.
Anyone shed any light on current status?

Hi. I hope everyone reading this is doing great and safe. I want to visit playa vera nude beach but before that, i have some questions in my mind:
1-if i want to visit playa vera nude beach alone as i m a solo traveller, is there any area of the playa vera naturist village and beach i will not be able to access. My priority is to visit nude beach but who knows if i find something else interesting and want to give it a try. Is vera playa nude beach acceptable of solo travellers?
2- what is the most populated month when families visit as i would love to meet fellow nudists to know their experience & the most warmest month of the year to visit playa vera naturist village?
3- i have a bit sensitive skin but i would not allow that to stop me from going out on nude beach so i want to know what are the facilities on beach area like sunbeds, beach umbrellas, shades, etc to get a shadowy cover on the beach.
4- what is the nearest airport from where i can reach vera playa naturist village?
5- i heard that nudity is also allowed on accomodation sites and just not limited to beach. Is it right?
It would be great if any past traveller or anyone who has experience of visiting vera playa naturist beach can answer my questions.

Well we are an active naturist couple for many, many years and have visited lots of naturist locations over the years for naturist holidays. We have visited Vera Playa 3 times now and absolutely love it for many reasons.
It's a very unique naturist location.
We'll give you some response to your questions...
1. Vera Playa is a very relaxed complex comprising of a nice flat long naturist beach with basically no entry restrictions open to all and is very popular with locals and holiday makers throughout the year. We've met many solo male naturist and well behaved we would say welcomed.
2. The most busy months like most holiday destinations are July and August (especially Spanish families) and most expensive for accommodation.
Any time around the summer months April to September..plenty opportunity to meet others, especially at the great open air beach bars and street bars(most naturist).
3. Yes most visitors to the beach bring their own stuff for shade etc.,but there's a few beach bars where you can rent.
Best by far the "Pirate Bar"...50ft from the sea..they have a very popular bar selling great food and drinks, two covered areas and an open decked area in front of the bar all with tables and chairs.
4. Nearest airport is Almeria around 50mins
Previously we've flown into both Alicante and Malaga both around 90mins,2hrs
5. Urbanization Vera Playa is a collection of separate enclosed apartment sites usually similar in layout...a central outside pool area and gardens surrounded by nice rustic apartments and most are secure gated.and yes you can happily walk the outside streets(some) naked and visit some bars, restaurants.
There you have a quick idea...
We absolutely love the place and would recommend..
If you wanna know any more then we're happy to give you a more in depth idea..accommodation options and recommendations, places to visit, restaurants, nightlife
Cheers

hi just hoping someone may help. i was hoping to book club vera playa in October this year. but my wife is very unsure about stripping off all the time around the pool. no problem for me but she is very shy. she has been nude in fuerteventura but not in public. being forced to strip could mean we don't book. also how warm will it be

It is very laid back here nobody will care if she wears a daring (easier to slip off and on) coming and going to the pool. She may find that she stands out in clothing😀 Many people walk round the streets named in the naturist area and cares etc. Have signs saying naturist welcom. Dress for the grocery store of course. Enjoy.

Hi, we are considering trying this resort. Can anyone recommend any apartments within walking distance of the naturist beach and also are there any sunbeds and parosols for hire on the naturist section? Thank you Cheryl
