A beautiful day walking on a beautiful beach. The tide was out and our dog had an amazing time. The sand was lovely and firm. We didn't come across any sinking sand. Free parking by the public toilets.
The beach is very clean and tidy. There is a long section to walk right down to Hastings at low tide. However while there is some sand it's mainly shale .
Walking is hard work but if your strong enough it's quite an achievement.
Off the beaten path and rarely crowded. A large, very clean pebble beach with sand exposed at low tides. Polite dogs welcome. One can easily walk from Rye Harbour via this beach to Pett Level and enjoy stunning sea views.
