We visited with our two children with learning disabilities, having booked a 60min taster session. The ce ntre feels really well run, with sufficient challenge for kids and adults of all abilities. Our kids are not straightforward and need patience, flexibility and a sense of humour - all the staff understood this immediately, adapted the session accordingly, went out of their way to help, and made sure they got the most out of their hour. Definitely recommended.

Brilliant time, can't say enough good things about the staff and the place in general. We had my daughters 7th Birthday party here, the staff, whilst not children's entertainers were full of encouragement and got all the kids involved right from the off. The cave is very daunting for the less adventurous children but the staff make sure they are safe and happy at all times. Before long the 12 kids we had with us were all over the room, darting through the cave, climbing the walls and generally going a bit mental.
The greatest endorsement I can give is that of the 12 children at our party only my daughter had been there before, today all 11 other families have been in touch asking about climbing classes and how to get their kids back in the cave. It's very very different from your usual sort of party and that alone makes it well worth trying out, we'll be back soon!

I really like this centre - both the climbing and bouldering sessions are good fun!
They make sure you’re fully instructed on how to safely climb before they allow you on the walls and provide you with chalk, a helmet and climbing shoes.

It’s such a great, fun, way to get fit and all the staff are very friendly!

Booked a party for my son and 16 of his friends at Craggy Island. Although it is a lot smaller than I anticipated, it was perfect as you have exclusivity to the smaller of the two rooms which has a climbing wall for sideways climbing and the caving. The children enter the room through a cave at reception which is great fun. The party price now includes pizza from Domino's!!! Would definitely recommend if you are planning a party.

First time visit to Craggy Island for my son's 10th birthday party. Along with a group of his friends they all had a fantastic time caving and rock climbing. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the instructor made sure everyone was safe and knew what they had to do. Even if you are not climbing the viewing balcony is great.

We will definitely be returning to explore more of the climbing walls that Craggy has to offer and I would definitely recommend this as a birthday party event for boys and girls.

It's a shame we hadn't heard of Craggy Island before.

We have just returned from a brilliant couple of hours at Craggy's climbing centre. My 6 year old was invited to a birthday party here and from the briefing to the end of the session did not stop laughing and smiling, brilliant fun for the kids who all had a chance to try climbing and caving.

We will be returning very soon.

Hello to all readers. This kids play area and cafe is very near to where I live. I never knew this place existed till today. It's next to a quiet golf course. I took my young son to his friend's birthday party. There is a play area for children...mountain climbing on the bottom floor. And cafe on the first. There's a small party room for 20 kids and the B'day menu was good. I had a piece of the cake, as well. To summarise, this is a great place for kids 4 to 8 years old. Two or three hours will fly by. I will return for my son's birthday party in summer. No photos attached because.....1...a lot of kids......2.....I haven't taken their parent's permission. Apologies.

My daughter has been coming now for a couple of years and she loves it. Occasionally I try and climb a wall and join her and it's a really fun thing for a family to do. For insurance and safety reasons getting started can be a little ominous, you have to complete certain orientation classes but once done you can just rock up and get your climb on. The staff are without exception excellent, they are all polite, informative and incredibly helpful when you are stuck on a climb. At busy times the atmosphere can be fantastic and what is really heartwarming is that everyone, staff and climbers, are just really friendly. It doesn't matter to them whether you are an expert climber or an absolute novice like me, everyone chips in, helps out, gives you support and guidance, celebrates your victories and offer condolences and encouragement when it doesn't go right.
The only down side is when Steve gets hold of the play list, if you've experienced it you'll understand :)

I am quite new to bouldering. Came here with a friend.

Friendly staffs and good climbing facilities. Various difficulty levels available.

Wasn't too pack when I visited on a Sunday. Lockers available for free but you'll have to bring your own padlock to lock.
