Sitting in hide number 4 watching literally hundreds of red kites circling above, the sky was full in every direction. Watching them dive and feed was breathtaking this is an amazing experience, great value and an excellent cause. You must visit

This is one of those things that have to be seen to be believed. The number of Red Kites that come to feed is amazing. By all means bring your camera but don't forget to just look around you as it is like being in a David Attenborough documentary.

At 2pm the food is thrown from the tractor onto the field in front of the hides. It takes nearly ten minutes to distribute all of the beef chunks during which time the Red Kites are swooping and diving to grab some before they eat it on the wing. It was freezing in the hides, but on the day we... More

It was wonderful to see hundreds of Red Kites swooping down to catch some food off the ground. Didn't see any buzzers this time which was a shame.

If you like birds then this is for you. Arrived at about 1:15 and the kites were gathering already, circling at height and in anticipation. Moved in to the hides, which are plentiful at about 1:45 and at 2 in the dot the show began. For about 30 minutes about 259birds circled and swooped on the beef scattered on the... More

Gigrin Farm should be on EVERYBODY'S wish list! For an unbelievably low entry fee you get to see the most breathtaking display of red kites - at very close range! The owners not only feed the local kite population, thereby increasing numbers of this fabulous bird, but they also operate a rehabilitation centre for sick and injured birds. Make sure... More

If you are near to this venue, please take the time to go and watching the feeding of the Red Kites. It is a well worth while experience and on a fine day there is a goo walk around the site.

Wonderful to see these amazing birds so close. Happy to pay the entrance fee to enable the feeding of these birds in well built hides
