Great walk

Amazing walk onto the most amazing beach. Fantastic in sun or rain. We walked on it before breakfast - set us up for the day.

Lovely walk

This is a lovely walk along the boardwalk over sand dunes and along the scenic railway track to the Giants Causeway. If you stop at the little railway station before the Giants Causeway there are clean toilets.

Walk from Bushfoot strand to Giants Causeway
Jun 2019 • Couples
Amazing circular walk, up around the headland and down to Giants Causeway then follow the footpath back to Portballintrae. Allow about 1.5 hrs, longer if you walk right down to the Giants Causeway, this walk is not to be missed.

A nice little beach on a sunny day
Apr 2019 • Family
We came here twice during our week-long stay in the area. The first time we walked along the path all the way around to the causeway (we then took the shorter/faster route back along the train-tracks.) The second time we let our daughter enjoy the beach and dip her toes in the sea which she loved. Not as frigid as we would have guessed.

The second time we came was Easter weekend and it was quite crowded compared to the first weekday visit.

Lovely views no matter which was you look/walk.

Fabulous views

Lovely stretch of beach with clean sand and good path - leads right round the coast with the golf club on one side and the sea on the other. As with other areas in this part of Northern Ireland it provides a good stretch of the legs with wonderful views as far as the eye can see

A great walk

A wonderful walk from Bushfoot Strand to the Giants Causeway or to Bushmills just follow the train tracks for the miniature steam train. You can go along the sand dunes or on to the beach at many points along the way. A place to meet the dog walkers and take in all the beauty of the north coast.

Good beach

Paths are gravel but well looked after. A short walk to large beach and you have to cross the foot bridge to get to beach. The beach is very clean no rubbish.

Great for walking the dogs

Parked in the car park and walked down and over the bridge and turned right away from the beach and along the River Bush. Turn left when you reach the main walkway and this will bring you out at Runkerry House close to The Giants Causeway or turn right and go along the path through the Golf Club and back to the car park.
