great walk and boat trip
the boat trip was a relaxing time, taking us around the lake with stops at the islands. a walk along the waterline and around the historic side complemented the experience under the sun

It's a bit of a climb. I could be mean and state that charging folk €2.50 to climb some steps is a bit cheeky but I guess it's clean and it's safe, and that doesn't pay for itself. Stunning views of a lovely part of the world.

What a lovely part of this beautiful lake. Lots of little cafes, a few shops and plenty of places to just sit and relax - all with a water view.

Pretty view of Lago di Trasimeno
The top of Passignano and the highest building of Centro Storico, the old town. You have to pay like €2-2,50 for entrance, but the view is worth it. Place to enjoy your Italian holidays. Also there is a bar where you can buy soft drinks and coffee in good prices. Sit down, relax, smile :)

I'm been fortunate to have owned a charming place in the castle district of Passignano for almost twenty years, and every friend or family member who visited has loved climbing up into this recently restored Lombard castle. I'd give it a 5-star rating except that it's small; has a first floor venue that frequently hosts art exhibits, and a very cool mini-museum of ancient fishing boats resurrected from Lake Trasimeno. The view from the top tower provides a fabulous 360 degree panorama of the lake and adjacent mountain, so bring your good camera. In ancient times, soldiers shot arrows at approaching attackers from this well chosen defensive hill. An authentic trip back in time. Elevator as well as stairs.

It is worth a short walk to climbe to the tower - interesting historical part of town, but nice to come even just for the view - one of the best possile of lake Trasimeno

Excellent views of the surrounding areas, beautiful pieces undergoing restoration displayed to really give a sense of history of the place. Loved walking through the surrounding old town also.

Another place where medieval history combines with spectacular landscapes

Around the Lake Trassimeno you can visit some very spectacular medieval castles. Rocca di Passignano is not one of them because the conservation status is not good. However, after climbing the "spiral" steps, you will enjoy a wonderful landscape. From the top you will find Lake Trassimeno and the town of Passignano and you will be able to take beautiful photos.
