Having friends descend upon us, a quick phone call and our table was booked easily and quickly - we pitched up half an hour before the alloted time and our table was already set up and waiting so a pre prandial drink and "catch up" ensued amid the lively, similar scenes nearby. Half the party chose from the large mouth-watering... More

This place looks so inviting and doesn't disappoint. Great menu, the dilemma is which to choose. We were a group of 4, all had something different to eat & thought the food was fabulous. The wine & local beer went down well to. Staff were attentive but not overly so. Hope to visit again. Only disappointment is that this is... More

Once I had recovered from the initial shock of paying £4.95 for a pint of bitter in a pub in The Midlands, the experience rapidly improved. In fact, the food and wine was all very reasonably priced for such a good experience and the customer service was first class. Our party of three thought everything we had from the menu... More

Had lunch here for a treat prior to going on holiday. Our first visit but we had heard very good reviews. Wednesday lunchtime but a very full menu on offer and excellent range of drinks. The wine list and range of non alcoholic drinks was particularly impressive. The service was exemplary, as was the food. We had three courses each... More

Visited The Olive Branch for a family occasion. One member of the family is a regular here and I now fully appreciate why. Food of this quality is hard to find. Not only that but there are some really inventive dishes on the menu which add to the experience. The setting is beautiful with a lovely garden and excellent decor.... More

Perfectly located in a pristine village in Rutland, this charming eaterie never disappoints. Staff always friendly, helpful polite without being in your face familiar. Beer excellently kept, so I am told, wines good choice and not too overpriced. Menu is innovative and changes frequently always fresh and very tasty. The small loaf of home made bread and herb butter on... More

Stayed in the nearby Beech House - lovely place (reviewed separately) Came over to the Olive Branch for evening meal - absolutely lovely. The place is beautiful and understated. Greeting was friendly and efficient and quickly shown to the table. Can't fault any of the food - very well executed and great service - that elusive balance of not rushing... More

We popped in on the off chance and were lucky to get a table. We enjoyed a pleasant lunch. The wine list was excellent. The service was very slick from attentive waiters and the atmosphere was buzzy. We had an enjoyable time.
