The 1st wine I have tried in Tokaj was in Rackoczi Pinco- in the Tokaj Main Street next to Catholic kosciol and Tokaj museum.
I did not buy any your, but decided to try some wine in the terrace. The guy who served me was very kind and provided me needful information. He took also my pics :) He offered to try Furmint 2017 white dry wine. I liked the taste. I paid only 400 HUF (1 €)

If you like wine you should visit it and try some excellent wine. It very impressive when you can see a mold and through this mold is growing another mold.

The staff (male) who presented the wines were not emotionally involved.Although I speak good English I could not understand him. He was just bland. The price for tasting the wine did not correspond with the quality. This cellar is the most famous but I don't recommend it.

We arrived on a roasting hot day 38°C - sat and lazed in the square over a leisurely lunch - quaffing the sweet wines and then descended into the blissful cool of the adjacent cellars for an official tasting. This is a beautifully presented cellar and a very well organised tasting. The wines were sublime. Tokaj is expensive but delicious!

We have chosen this place because we have heard they have Polish speaking guide. Unfortunately because of Covid-19 not this year. It was English speaking from Boston- kind and well describing everything. Wines very good!

We found the wine cellar very impressing and had a short but a very individual sightseeing just for the two of us.
The staff was very friendly and polite and the knowledge about the history of Tokaij very good. The Lady who showed us around spoke fluently englisch so we had a really good time.

Terrific place, with a very Dracula type of theme going on in their wine tasting area of the cellar. The wine is very good, and the staff very friendly. Kathryn was very helpful and informative with her explanation of the cellar, the history and the ownership. The wines are reasonably priced, and they have a wide variety of different types - including their unique organic wine. I would highly recommend coming here, if for no other rason than to hear the fascinating story of the cellar's beginnings and to have some wine in a very unique setting.

The wine cellars here look fascinating, but I spent my time upstairs under the open sky on a terrace overlooking Tokaj's main square, Kossuth tér. I recommend the cheese plate with three 0.1-liter glasses of different Hétszölö wines: a dry Furmint; a demi-sec Sárgamuskotály; and a late-harvest Furmint, slightly sweet and excellent. I added a fourth taster of late-harvest Hárslevelü with the sweetness and quality of a good French Sauterne. You may prefer a tour of the cellar or a session at the tasting bar inside, but I had a lovely time at my outdoor table.

So i arrived around 10am to see if it was open. It was closed and said it is open from 13h till 18h. I planned my whole day around this and I arrive at 16h30 to be on time. The unfriendly lady at the entrance told me i cannot come in because there is a big group planned at 17h. I did notice a big bus outside. Why on earth cant you put on the door closed at 16h30 because of big group? I could still visit for 30m if i wanted, she refused. Sorry dont tell me that big bus just showed up by accident and you didnt know they would come. Im just her for a day and i am very dissapointed. Organise yourself! If you are open till 18h you are! If not put a sign on the door so people can come earlier! Thanks for ruining my day.
Guys go to local cheaper places instead of a place that caters only TX groups to get more sales. AVOID
