Great family owned winery with an ancient cellar to store wines. We tasted at least 5 things in their tasting room and thoroughly enjoyed hearing their story and drinking the wines. Love Furmint now. Beautiful vineyards. The manager Hajnalka Pracser speaks excellent English and French also.

This is a must in Hungary. We went there and visited Disznoko Szolobirtok winery. It beatiful, from the top you can enjoy amazing views of the vineyards. The cellar is amazing. We tasted wines in a cellar like a cave. Beautiful place indeed. Wines are amazing !!! Service very attentive. Prices are convenient but you can also find their wines... More

Staying in Tokaj in camp for one night I was surprised that on reception there were plastic bottles with wine for sale. "What? Wine in plastic? in Tokaj? No way!" But I didn´t know that wine cellars are closed during the late evening and night. After 10. PM there was nothing to do, to go and to drink! Sad and... More

If you are used to western European wines then come to Tokaj to try something different and you will be pleasantly surprised. The whole area is full of vineyards and many wineries.

This place was hopping on a hot Saturday in June. We stopped for lunch on a deck overlooking the river and bought some cheap but very drinkable wine. We did not have time for a tasting, but maybe another time.

so much more than just sweet wine, have some fabulous dry and less dry wines. More to my taste. Visited Erzabet and Grof Degenfeld, the former having a much more diverse choice and better wines in my opinion

We had a wonderful visit to this wine cave in Sarospatak where we had amazing wine and food. It was quite an experience that took one back to a former time in the traditions of this region. Recently created with a EU grant, this state-of-the-art winery has all of the feel of a place that has been here for centuries.... More

We arrived on a roasting hot day 38°C - sat and lazed in the square over a leisurely lunch - quaffing the sweet wines and then descended into the blissful cool of the adjacent cellars for an official tasting. Its a lovely region to visit and enjoy the delicious famous local wines - from the smart well-known cellars to the... More

If you like sweet wines, Tokaj region is the place for you. Located in beatiful landscape along the Tisza and Bodrog rivers, this place has hundress of wine cellars. Make sure to do your homework, as there are many lower quality products as well. Although beautiful, and with a lot nice old buildings, Tokaj really feels like it's poor and... More
