We met a real life adventurer and enjoyed an 8 hour trip which flew by. He knew Coromandel like the back of his hand and enthused about it which was great. We would never have found the interesting places he took us to and there was good humour all day. It was a highlight of our 4 week trip to... More

We had a fascinating morning walking in the bush and learning about the local history of gold mining, conservation efforts and the bush and wildlife in general. After a good lunch we visited a number of wonderful and historic beaches. A very interesting day.

We were collected at our B&B and taken as a small group to see some of the attractions of the area, including the bay where Captain Cook anchored the Endeavour, Cathedral Cove, Hot water Beach. Lunch was provided at a café after which we visited some old gold mine caves that were home to glow worms and other creepy crawlies.... More

We were in a small group (5 people) for our day with our guide, Peter. It was a brilliant day - starling with a drive along the coast to various historic sites such as Mercury Bay. Peter had a vast store of knowledge which he shared with us. After a visit to Hot Water Beach (and an excellent lunch) came... More

The Coastal and Nature day tour really was superb. I was very lucky to have a private tour and Peter my guide was really interesting. I saw so much and learnt so much that I would not have discovered without his expetise and experience. There was a great balance in the activities and nothing was exhausting for someone not as... Kiwi Dundee consists of 3 wonderful people and I say that having met only one of them. We had an outstanding walk in the hills and forests of Coromandel with Peter. Beyond telling and showing the story of gold rush days we looked for a very small endemic frog (but didn't find) , saw glow worms and weta. We also... More

Collected from our motel by Mike with his lovely air conditioned small bus. There was only one other couple on the tour so it was absolutely ideal. We had a wonderful informative day with some great short walks in the bush and around some gold mines before going for a wonderful lunch. The afternoon was spent discovering the local beaches.... Unusually for my wife and I we decided to take a guide around the Coramandel. Jan took us around and tailored the day to exactly what we wanted. She was informative without being overpowering and we thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend it to anyone. Well done and thanks.

Great day with Pete who is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. A really lovely worthwhile day. We went to Hot water beach, glow worm caves and to gold mines. Pete collected us from our B and B and returned us at the end of the day. First class

This was a vary enjoyable and varied experience. Doug was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the environment. We visited some historic places and stunning beaches. This knowledge and a good sense of humour is a great mix. He is very easy to talk to and as we were the only two on the excursion that day we felt very special.He... More
