This is a small island with few people. We stayed at the Compass Rose house (very nice). There is little to no shopping but both Debbie's restraunt, Island Thyme, and Mrs. Pat's place have wonderful food. Beautiful Beaches, great diving!!

My family just returned from a vacation in Salt Cay. We were celebrating our daughter's high school and college graduations. My 18-year old had scuba diving on her bucket list so we booked a resort dive with Richard who is the Dive Master at SCD....More

As much as we wanted to love this place in the end we just couldn't. It's quiet, remote, with a few cool places to visit - everything we were looking for. The other main reason we came here was to see Humpback whales during which...More

From January to March, it is the humpback whale season! I was luck to be at Salt Cay on March 2014! My last review of Salt Cay was based on my experience of Salt Cay during July 2013. Since Salt Cay is very different during...More

I never get over the serenity I find on this tiny speck of an island in the Turks & Caicos Islands. The diving is incredible but the people are what make Salt Cay the "Diamond in the rough". No high-rise foo-foo resorts here but no...More

Salt Cay is home to less than 100 full time residents, each lending their character into the fabric of this charming community, nestled between sea and salt ponds. Relics of the past blend seamlessly with grand plantation homes and beach bungalows. Have a drink at...More

We took the snorkel tour off our ship in Grand Turk. It was just OK. The coral did not look healthy, the fish were sparse, but the best part of the trip was the deck mate diving down and grabbing up and I do mean...More

A ten minute, reasonably priced flight takes you to this island from Grand Turk. There are some very pretty buildings with a unique history. When I go again, I will rent a little electric car as it was a bit hot for walking! I enjoyed...More
