We received a little breakdown of this little loch’s history before visiting, and I must say we were not disappointed, what a lovely little place for a walk, beautiful, and although it was winter with little to see in flowering shrubs etc., it was still a lovely easy walk, surrounded by mountains. We will return here again to view it... More

Easily reached from the village this lochan is a real hidden gem. The surface reflects the dramatic mountains and makes for some wonderful photos.

We visit this place many times a year, it has 3 main walks, 2 off them are a little strenuous, with the other one a gentle walk around the Lochen , always stunning views looking up at the pap of glencoe, it's a great place to walk the dogs or for some stunning shots if you are into photography

A place of tranquility & real beauty, well worth the effort to drive there. We drove up from Loch Lomond which took about 2 hours, as we kept stopping en-route to admire the scenery.

We did not really visit the town in itself but were looking for a decent walk which would give us nice views of the area and the Loch. We ended up walking for a couple of hours, crossing the path of the West Highland Way for a while and enjoying great views of the area. It is a really stunning... More

Walked around the lochan several times and is very peaceful and doesn't take long around half an hour depending on your pace, not to be rushed anyhow as the sceneary is beautiful so don't rush and take it all in.

Lovely area, good base for getting around. Couple of decent pubs, and plenty of activities. I recommend popping to Ben Nevis activity centre to do the high wires!

Words can never describe places like Glancoe.... It is a quaint picturesque village amidst hills with lochs, river where one can walk along the forest trails. For more adventure try climbing the Pap..majestic looking hill with a dominating the area with its powerful presence. It is great to have some sun but this place is equally stunning when drowned in... More

A place to be visited before you die! Paradise is the best word to describe it. See it to believe it. Serene, calm and postcard stuff...Mist in the distance, clam waters, ducks around, greenery including pine trees all around, different colours of the leaves and the trees make a reflection on the water....sigh! What a sight! I think autumn is... More
