- SolublepeterNewcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom32 contributionsGreat sound and picture, and fantastic pricing. This cinema was a little pricey when it opened, which put me off. But for the last few years it has had much better pricing, but still retains up-to-date bright screens and fantastic sound quality. This all makes going to the cinema a special event (even though I have a 10ft screen, projector and multichannel sound at home.)Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 11, 2023
- Kate AKingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom26 contributionsPoor service and dirtyWe went to see Wonka over the Christmas school holidays. Whilst the film was great, I'm afraid the cinema was dirty and poorly staffed. Queues for snacks and tickets were incredibly long, with only two people apparently serving, rubbish bins were overflowing, no loo roll or soap in the toilets. Given that this was a lunchtime showing and it was the Christmas holidays, I dread to think what the facilities would be like for those visiting in th evening. Parking also incredibly difficult. I think Vue need to increase their staff, particularly at obvious busy times.Visited December 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 30, 2023

Went to see One Love Bob Marley
Three young women down the front came in with a toddler in a pram.
Toddler was badly behaved throughout the performance. He threw popcorn about, threw his shoes off and then started hitting the metal railings in the cinema with a plastic cup. Disgraceful. Mother did nothing apart from singing loudly in unison with Bob Marley. One rather large bloke decided to have a sleep across one row, probably because the film was so dire. I paid £4.99 but saw the manager and got a full refund. Seats were filthy. Nobody came in to see what was going on. Isn't it monitored by camera? The cheapest film venue in the North East but the audience have no idea how to conduct themselves in a civilized manner. Kids are allowed in with adults, apparently so be warned. I will not be returning in the near future and certainly not in school holidays. This was a 10am Friday screening so thought it would be quiet to avoid the normal lunacy. I was wrong. I have had to walk out of performances here before.

Discovered I had dropped my face mask in the rain on the way to the cinema. So asked if I could buy one when I got there. Was told they didnt have any ,and didnt sell or give them to customers who havent got one. .I had already prebooked tickets for a film online. So had to dash to sainsburys garage to pay 5 pounds for disposable masks, as film was about to start in ,10 minutes.I wasn t happy at all about this.

Since i moved to Cramlington i often visit this cinema, its only £4.99 for a saver seat, a bit more if you want different seats such as vip or if you pay at the cinema and not online, but still very cheap compared to other cinemas. But even better than that if you pop to Asda and get a pizza deal you get your cinema ticket for free, so your getting two pizzas a bottle of pop and a trip to the cinema for £6, some of the seats alone at the cinema cost more than that. and with the cost of living crisis this is just a mad bargain, that i often tell many people about, its good to save where you can especially nowadays. Lovely staff and just a good atmosphere. Its nice to see the latest movies at only a short walk from wheee i live. Highly recommend!.

We visit this cinema regularly, mainly first thing of a morning 10amish, and even at this time the toilets are disgusting and today was no exception.
In the ladies toilet, there had obviously been a coffee spilt which was now a dry stain, many of the toilets did not have and toilet roll in (but there was a large bag of unused rolls on the floor near the sinks so you could help yourself if you wanted!!)
Over half of the hand washes were empty.
Surely this early in the morning they should be pristine clean ready for the rest of the day.
It is such a shame as this could be a great cinema, sound and visual is excellent, comfortable seating and good choice of movies.

Normally don't go to this cinema and I remember why, the locals are pond life before going in to our screening we got to enjoy a little charva showing off in front of his mate by coming in and out of the main entrance... impressive I know.
When we finally entered the cinema we had the mis fortune of being seated in front of the biggest moron this side of the wansbeck swinging his legs back and forth making a squeaking noise which would send a Buddhist monk psychotic. I politely asked him to desist in fairness he did. But then he had a wrestling match with a pack doritos for 45mins absolute helmet of a man.

Visited weekday afternoon. Booked tickets online, which was easy and was sent a qr code which acted as our tickets to get in. Food was priced okay, but still a bit steep. Screen was clean.

I really couldn’t fault the place. The staff were exceedingly friendly, it was clean, the ice creams and sweets a good price, the film and sound quality fine. On a Thursday afternoon towards the end of the Top Gun run, it wasn’t busy. For £5 a seat, a bargain price, free and ample parking, and a nice Italian Restaurant opposite. What’s not to like?
