We went to the Adega a few days ago and unfortunately we did not make a reservation. The funny thing is my son, who speaks fluent Portuguese, called in the morning to ask if he could bring his dog. Ricardo was nice enough to answer the phone and say "yes", but never asked when we were going, what size dog, etc. When we arrived the dog could not enter and we needed a reservation, which Ricardo could have advised on the phone. We then tried to purchase a bottle of wine to sit outside and sample but we were not allowed to have glasses. Finally we asked for recommendations in the area of other wineries, places of interest, etc. and Ricardo was useless. I know he is not a travel guide but "service" could have been provided if he so chose. Needless to say I will never sample the wine or make a reservation to visit in the future.

The worst customer service you could get, I don’t recommend at all this place. The person who came to greet us instead of doing so told us that we needed to leave the place because we could be there at the shop. We travel there because it was recommended and we could not drink a glass of wine nor buy anything.
Very disappointing.

If you are booking for a wine tasting, then that’s what should be the focus. Not getting me to eat lunch. I paid for us to sample 6 different wines. The tour itself took over 1 1/2 hours - it was a mixed group so the tour guide had to say everything in both English and Portuguese. Then we were seated and only two wine glasses were at our place setting. It was expected that we order something to eat. Then, they kept wanting to top off the wines that we were tasting. No place to pour out what we didn’t like. After one hour, we had only tried 3 wines. We left as we needed to get into Lisbon. We were there to sample wine, not eat a meal. Three hours and only tasted 3 out of the 6 different wines we paid for. Ridiculous.

Great tour with Diogo on the AdegaMae wine farm. Very warm welcome by everyone and many interesting small details about the young story of the company. You can really feel the passion behind this incredible project. I was into wines before but after this tour my interest in tasting wines has become even stronger. We had a complete tour with brunch. The food is more than excellent and fits perfectly together with the presented wines for tasting. You can ask Diogo about anything and he is an excellent host and wine expert. Definitely a MUST trip when you are in the Lisbon area. I hope the wines will soon become more popural in Lisbon, Portugal and in the world.

Adega Mãe is a modern wine State, from 2011 in the region of Torres Vedras. It is very much worth the visit and even a detour from Lisbon. The modern building is impressive in its simplicity and style, perfectly imbedded in the surrounding vineyards. The visit to the production units and cellars guided by Diogo Lourenço was excelente: very, very informative and cheerful.
Casa Mãe produces a great variety of wines, using local varieties of grapes but also some outsiders like Alvarinho, Rieseling and Pinot Noir. They use the most modern techniques to produce great wine, both white and red. And they seem to be continuously innovating and experimenting new grapes and techniques. If you like wine and cellars, it is definitely a place to visit and to taste great wine!

Warm welcome, and great tour of the winery. Relaxed wine tasting - in tasteful surroundings with great views. Always bring our visitors here. Excellent wines. If a group of more than six it is possible to arrange lunch. Diego is a fantastic host and very knowledgeable.

Just had my wedding here, and it was incredible! The food, the service, the view, and last but certainly not least the WINE, were amazing. If you love wine or even if you just want to know a little bit more about it I highly recommend doing a tour of the winery. The banquet room is stunning. It was very reasonably priced as well for everything that we got. Our wedding day was virtually stress free bc the staff took care of everything. All we did was show up with the cake.

The cod fish, the bread, and the paired wines was absolutely wonderful. Wine tour was cool but the food was the highlight. I believe you need a big group. Best of 4 restaurants I ate in the area.

We visited on a Saturday and were treated to a highly educating tour of this technologically advanced winery by our guide and host, Ines, before sitting in the tasting room, soaking in the wines and adoring the view. So many wineries seem to fall short in making you feel this comfortable... Luckily AdegaMae is not one of them. I'll be back one day. In the meantime, I'll be looking for the wines on my supermarket shelves, trying to recreate those fleeting hours.
