To better understand the history and traditions of the Val di Fiemme community, a visit to this museum is absolutely recommended.
With the very valid guidance of the museum's curator, Roberto, you have the opportunity to admire and understand the value of the works and the very function of this historic building.
There are private rooms, intended for the apartment of the prince-bishop of Trento, and public rooms intended for meetings with representatives of the Community of Fiemme and for the administration of justice.
There is no shortage of works of art dating back to the Renaissance and the local Baroque and Roberto is the passionate and competent "cicerone" who allows us to connect this palace, which had great importance in the past in the entire region, to the history, uses, economy of the Val di Fiemme in past centuries.

The Palace is beautiful, very interesting as the temporary exhibition. The democratic principles behind the Community, which always works, are a fine example of land use management. It dates back to 1111!!

We were in Cavalese for only a short time and which we were intrigued by the exterior decoration on this building we didn't have the time to go inside and see what it housed.

Small place, rather below my expectations. Nothing special with some nice buildings like Palazzo.
Will not return here, other places are more attractive.

The Palace of Magnifica Comunitá di Fiemme is situated in the centre of the village of Cavalese. It is a good option if you want to take a break from skiing. The palace will organise guided tours through the rooms that are a mix between past and present. You can also visit the museum-gallery and prison which is full of etchings left by the condemned who spent their time there.
