It's our first visit here, and we are loving it. We are a family of four, 2 boys aged 8 and 9 and of we bought our two dogs with us.
Reminds me a little of some seaside resorts back in the UK.
It's very clean compared to some parts of Sicily, seems very relaxed and the locals very friendly.
We are here at an unusual time, it's very quiet and a lot of places are not open. We were unable to hire a boat or go on a boat trip, a lot of restaurants closed.
Because it's quiet though, lots of space on the beach. The water is crystal clear and the beach is mostly tidy. In a normal summer it is packed here so making the most of the beach time. From the shore we have snorkelled and seen lots of fish. The boys loved it.
Haven't made it to the reserve yet as it was closed due to an risk of fire.
We are staying in a small villa on the outskirts, very quiet but also comes with living in the countryside problems, mainly our villa had a lot of ants!

Lovely beach for families. Our toddlers (1 & 3) loved this beach as they could get in quite far without having to worry about being too deep. It's very shallow for a really long stretch and it's very calm waters. We paid €1 per hour of parking just by the port only a 5 min walk to the beach. It was pretty busy (a weekday in August), but not so busy that we couldn't find a peaceful spot and enjoy the beach. Highly recommend at least once! We ended up staying for 4 hours.

Great beach and beautiful water. Just needs more cleaning.
The council really should have a chat with the people who rent out the umbrellas. There are dozens of cigarettes around each one and they don’t seem bothered to clean. If they make money renting them out and using the beach surely they should clean it!

I know san Vito and its beach since 12 years now and must confess that the situation to stay on the beach in a relaxed atmosphere gets worse every year. The sandy white beach is quite big and one can walk in the sea for almost 50 meters but in high season the rivalry families of the sunbed and umbrella lettings are aggressive and most of them try to catch away towel visitors. Because of that only 3 points.

Best time to visit this place is late September or beginning of October. No crowds on this fine white sand beach and still warm temperature in the water. Best beach on Sicily. .

Beautiful beach that has lost its charm. Almost completely covered with sun beds and umbrellas. If you come after 11, you won’t even find a spare one near the sea (people book them in advance apparently). Water isn’t so clear, sometimes you can find some pink sand which is a plus but not a lot. Very overcrowded.

Wonderful sandy beach and clear turquoise water! It is packed with umbrellas in these summer days. You look quite odd if you don’t rent umbrella and come only with just your own towel. We stayed in the house 5 min from the beach and we don’t like lying on the beach thus we came for a swim and returned back home. Splendid sea for swimming, the water is shallow only first few meters. The town itself is also very nice with many restaurants, bars etc., mostly located at or near Via Savoia.

This beach seemed really nice and the view us great. As we visited Sicily in December we could not really swim, and we did not stay long.
Nice sand, pink in vertain areas.
Plenty of jellyfish...hopefully they are not there in the summer season.

San Vito has a beautiful beach , it can get crowded in summer . Best time to visit is in September . The beach is a free beach that you can hire an umbrella and sun bed if you like . The water colour is amazing .

Very popular beach with areas with the typical beach services of umbrella and sun beds. Well kept, reasonable prices. Free beach as well. Wonderful back drop of the mountain, fine white sand and turquoise Carribean sea. Beach in the town so easy to find restaurants etc..

Salve, Sabato partiamo, e leggo molti commenti negativi.

Hi. Is there free areas on the beach? We don’t want the umbrella and sun bed hell. And are animals allowed?
