Nice beach

Nice sandy beach away from the town. Not easy to get there by the public transport, will need a car.

a stone's throw from our hotel, a lively and busy beach with fine sand, turquoise water with foamy waves, rows of eating establishments, unfortunately too many vendors offering items nobody wants to buy and bothering you repeatedly

Sicily does not have too many good safe sandy beaches so no surprise this is busy. Each part of the beach entry points has a stall renting out sunbeds and umbrellas - average ten euros for this. Seeing photos beforehand, this beach really looked like paradise, something special, but in reality, it was just another sandy beach really. Large numbers of beds and umbrellas to rent for the day, and lots of guys selling magnets, sunglasses, selfie sticks, etc, it is common in Italy. The town around the beach a bit tired and unloved. The beach is really beautiful.... Clean sand, clear blue water. So why not give five stars? It took us a couple of days to get used to the constant screaming of the sales men selling coco nuts, scarves, dresses, towels, sunglasses, books, massages, earrings, necklaces, balls, blowup mattresses, couscous.... You get the point that there are a lot of them... More

We went to San Vito lo Capo on an August day. The beach was very crowded, but it was worth it. The sea was a Mediterranean blue.
