Beautiful authentic old houses that are soon to be demolished. Take a slow long walk along the alley ways and take it all in before it is gone.

The first section of Qingguo Alley is finished and it's so very, very cool! Little stylish boutique cafes and teahouses are mixed with jewellery studios, traditional alcohol sellers and craft studios. There are also some museums with the promise of more neat things opening up as time goes on. This has already become my favorite spot in Changzhou for a leisurely afternoon or to go souvenir shopping to snag presents for distant friends and relatives.

Changzhou is now redeveloping this area and the location is totally closed. Given the state of work going on, building are being removed and it will be all fully redeveloped area in the future.

I was expecting a more historic street, though it is really only a run down and short alley way with little of interest. Don't bother.

The city wall is a very good memory of old Changzhou city! You can walk around the city wall and visit some traditional comb shops close by.
