Nice, but very inefficient park
Nov 2019 • Friends
Pro:
They have fun rides which I hadn't seen before. I really enjoyed their rollercoaster and some other rides.
The theme binds everything together very well.
They also have a museum within the park.
They give a discount, when parts of the park are out of order (we paid 208 for an adult).

Con:
Their system to board the attractions is incredibly inefficient. The park was not full when we went, but they still managed to create waiting times of up to 1h. Their large rollercoaster only went every 20min because of this, we timed it. The delay mostly happens because you need help to close the security belts and there's only 2 people to do that for all 30 people on the ride. Then they both check again if you're secure. So a person will come to everybody 3 times. After the ride you collect your things. You're only allowed to leave the ride once all the 30 people are ready. Then the next group enters. The experience is just frustrating when you're used to the efficiency of western amusement parks. It feels so unnecessary.
The park is overpriced.
Lots of rides are hidden within houses which makes it very hard to realise what you're getting yourself into when you don't speak Chinese.

Good on a good day

It is a large amusement park with various rides and activities as well as a large shopping outlet. Themed around dinosaurs and all things Jurassic I'm sure any kids would love it, adults maybe not so much.

The park is large and has many different activities including a number of rides for adults and children, a water park area in the summer months, shopping outlets and smaller stores selling a range of goods as well as a hotel, spa and museum.

Try to go in the week when it is quieter, during weekends and national holidays it can get really busy and queuing for ride takes a long time.

Great day out

Stayed at the Dinoland Hotel. Loved the cave style theme to the rooms, with fossil decor on the walls. This made for easy access to the Dinosaur Land theme park. Inside the rides and attractions were all great. Getting from place to place was made much easier as we rented a motorised cart. My personal favourite was the fluke ride. Food options were plentiful outside and inside the theme park. Despite previous reviews complaining about the lack of English by the staff, my take on this was - what were you expecting if you came to China?

Confusing to amusement park
May 2019
Very confusing for westerner adult as to what the theme is but the children love it. Was impressive to see the amount of work that has gone into the landscape.

Must be at least THIS tall to ride!
Mar 2019 • Family
I've seen a lot of reviews claiming that this is a good amusement park for kids, and I really need to disagree. There are 2 major height cut offs at Dinosaur Park. 1.2 and 1.4m, and if you've got a kid on the slower end of the growth curve, it makes a visit to Dinosaur Park a tortuous experience as they're forced to stand around watching teenagers and college students go on all the fun rides. There is basically nothing exciting for kids under 1.2m. There's a modest playground with overprotective staff, but that's about it. For those between 1.2 and 1.4, there are a few more rides, but they certainly don't have access to half the rides as would be suggested by the half price ticket. You even have to be 1.5 meters tall to ride the teacups. The one exception is there's a nice water ride that goes through part of the museum building; that strangely seems to have no height requirement. For adults, there are a couple decent roller coasters, but I really haven't noticed enough improvements to justify the yearly price increases. Many rides are showing their age. Still, this is one of the better parks we've been to in mainland China. The small dinosaur museum is probably our favorite part (though it's not nearly as jawdropping as dinosaur museums in Shandong, Sichuan, or Yunnan). The Dinotown shopping area just outside the park is much more interesting with food, DIY workshops, a nice cinema and sportswear and kids outlet stores.

Great for young kids but over the top Chinese safety standards slow rides down to a rediculous pace.

We went on a off peak day and loved it. The kids were happy, the park is clean and easy to get around with a good variety of rides. The only downside for me was that they only have one train on roller coasters and their process of getting people on and off the cars is insanely inefficient and slow. They don't even allow the people for the next car withing 20 meters of the loading platform, so people get off, gather their belongings, walk out, then they allow people downstairs to walk up, drop their loose items, board, safety checks etc.

Good theme park for kids. Cheap yearly member card.

Visited with my 5yo daughter on a dead cold weekday, many attractions were closed because it was so cold. My daughter had a great time, myself not so much. She enjoyed the museum and the kid's area, said it's "better than Disneyland".
The restaurants and street food stalls inside the part are fairly expensive but no way near Disneyland level. More restaurants (and malls) can be found outside the part.
There are elephant and seal shows. I don't like them for obvious reasons, but my kid enjoyed them.
Visitors on single day tickets can upgrade their tickets to yearly member cards for a cheap price, worth it if you live in nearby cities and have kid(s).
A few complaints:
- Too many stalls inside the park, staff unashamedly trying to sell stuff to your kid.
- The B1F parking lot is a mess. Signs are unclear. Many elevators are not working. I wonder if it's the same at busy weekends.

Very impressive theme park with lots of exciting rides and fantastic shows. We particularly enjoyed the 4D shows, the elephant show, the musical show and the 4D Rollercoaster at Dinoman. We went there on weekdays so not so many people, we didn't need to queue for more than 15 minutes which was great. It's a very well established park with plenty of restaurants and clean toilets in the park.
