The concept of this place is awesome! Surf shop, master barista and brewery! Santi, is really into his coffee and craft with flavor wheels, specially selected coffee beans and a methodical process to eliminate any bitterness. We enjoyed watching him practice his craft while we drank beer and ate tacos and as we showed interest, he was super excited to talk about coffee. So many similarities with the wine process and coffee-the terroir, flavor wheels, etc. Of course we enjoyed a coffee after lunch! We are back again today. Best taco truck out front and A/C inside-which is perfect when it’s in the mid-90’s accompanied by high humidity. A great lunch and beer stop after surf and yoga!

This is the candy store of hand shaped surf boards and coffee. What a gem these lovely owners have created. The vibe here is super, the store merchandised perfectly, exceptionally roasted & hand crafted drinks. This is a 100% must return every time we are in Nosara.

The best place in Nosara for coffee, the barista is second to none !! The IPA is pretty amazing too.
The whole crew at Olo Alaia are so cool to chat to, they are very chilled, helpful and friendly. It’s one of those places where you instantly unwind and feel happy for just being there

Olo Alaia is by far the best hang out spot in Nosara! It has literaly become my second home during my 2 weeks trip from Canada. I recommend the cold brew drip coffee but everything on the menu is second to best! Not to forget the staff members Santi, Cata and the owner Robby are highly qualified and always available for whatever you need, surf coaching or rentals.
Thanks for the experience guys,
Cheers

Olo Alaia is my go-to spot for the best coffee in town and a chill spot to hang out. Santi, the barista will sort you out with your brew of choice and, with a little nudge (!), share some of his passion and knowledge :D You can also rent boards and get surf lessons here. I improved a lot from lessons with Cata who took the time to show me videos and explain techniques I should practise! Thanks guys pura vida.

Delicious locally brewed beer and tasty coffee and tea drinks made for a multiple stop attraction on our visit to Playa Guiones. The surf shop was an added bonus and we think this great little shop would thrive in San Diego. Plus, the owner was a really interesting guy! I’m a big tea drinker and one of the employees made a mix of three teas and shook it up and it was amazing.

Went first to buy a couple of things and the surf shop has lots of cool stuff. Service was good and friendly. So we decided to give it a try to their coffee shop. When we arrived, the guy was so engaged in a conversation with a friend that she had to ask him take care of us. We were the only customers! No smile, no interaction, seems like we bother him. We decided to just get a couple of drinks and find one of the many nice places in Guiones. So sorry for the owner to invest in this beautiful shop and ended delivering this kind of service.

Olas Alaia Surf & Brew was right next door to our Casa Tranquilo Rental. Nice. Step inside and find an ice cold local beer on tap. Sweet. Oh, did you say you wanted Coffee. Ok, The best cold brewed coffee on the planet served up with handmade chocolate chip cookies. Seated at the bar are new friends from Canada, and Costa Rica. The people are friendly, the beer is great, coffee superb. Now, how do I get this to go and can I clear customs back home. Hmmm- Decisions, decisions, decisions, can't take it with me, I'm not going. Pour me another, Mate.

We walked around town and decided it was time for a pint. We stopped in sat at the bar and were greeted with a welcome. Robbie was nice and engaging. I’m not a surfer, I tried while there. My friend said he had the nicest boards for rent there, he rented one for the last two days there. The boards in the shop are beautiful. I spent probably 15 mins just looking at the boards for sale. Stop in grab a pint, talk to Robbie about surfing and racing and enjoy.
