The most impressive building in the city of Ubon Ratchathani. It has a small museum showing the local history. Also has some budget accommodation.

This place is good to go to to get more knowledge/history of the area and of Isan, but it is also heavily about the history of buddhism =, which one can honestly learn about all throughout Thailand. If it weren't for this, the cultural center...More

This is great building that stands out in an otherwise ordinary city. The building houses a hotel which has very dated rooms but with a low cost. In the basement there is a "folk" museum which was interesting but all the signs were in Thai...More

From the outside, the impression is spectacular. Once inside, it rapidly becomes rather tired. Hotel rooms were "ok" but, what coukd have been fabulous was actually mundane. Breakfast was nonexistant. The museum has great potential but...

The building itself is a piece of art itself - grand and ornate. The museum on the first floor is bigger than we expected and full of well-written English history plaques (though many of the item description signs were only in Thai). Quiet and no...More

Head to the basement of Ubon Cultural Center where you can visit a Isaan museum. Although not properly maintained (fused light bulbs, spider web, dust, etc), this free museum provides some interesting insights into the Isaan culture.

The architecture you see in the photo is actually a hotel- the museum is in the basement, accessible from the main lobby or a side entrance. No fees, but you can make donations. Inside, you find a well-documented history of the Isan people of the...More

This centre has a museum showing the history of Issan. It's a bit unkempt with no guides. The building is stunning with great gardens.

An architecturally interesting spot with good facilities for hosting events (weddings, parties, business presentations etc.).

If you have time, swing by this place for a quick visit. The architecture of the building is in my mind, the most impressive in the city. Inside you will find a small sort of museum that is interposing for a short while.
