This place is free unless you want to pay for a tour. My wife wanted to visit a tulip farm and this place was ideal. A little bit off the beaten track which ment it wasn't too busy unlike the nearby Keukenhof. We visited on a nice sunny day, late afternoon in the week so there was plenty of parking although I expect the weekend would be a different story. It had a nice cafe and a shop. A tulip farm is not my cup of tea but my wife loved it so, happy wife, happy life!!!

It was raining dogs and cats! So we could not sit outside and walk around to take great pictures. But indoors you have good shopping and coffee options. You can watch them preparing Stroopwafels - fresh from the iron.

Daan & Anja Janze run a great flower bulb growing operation and Anja is the hosted of the tours. You can go with small and larger groups in the season, choose a package with lunch and learn the basics of what you need to know about the flower bulb growing process. Anja goes out of her way to make sure you visit is great and they have become industry friends because I have taken various groups of friends and customers for visits, during March and mid May when the bulb fields are in bloom.

I visited the De Tuperij tulip farm recently as part of a tour. Daan was very informative and charming. He explained about the history of tulip farming and how to propagate baby bulbs. I never realized how much work went into tulip farming. He had catalogues of bulb plants but never turned on the high pressure sales pitch. I would recommend a visit.

Dan, the owner of the bulb farm, is amazing.. and his family is very warm and welcoming.. they did a fantastic job in showing us the bulb farms and tulips.. We had a traditional Dutch lunch in the farm house itself and it was an incredible experience..It is a "Must visit " during the Netherlands trip ...

Our tour of this family owned bulb farm was part of our Keukenhof Gardens tour. They were delightful and gave us a quick commentary and film on their business. They also have a small coffee shop with some lovely gifts. Of course, you can't bring bulbs into the US, so you must order. They don't ship until Sept when the bulb are ready. I can't wait to get mine!

Hi! Are we able to visit without a tour company? Just as a couple, wanting to see the tulip gardens?
Written April 25, 2018
Hallo Shivanise,
It's a very sad, but I read this question to late. I think you don't come back next year?! But you can visit our company in springtime with T&T tour company from Amsterdam to us.
In autumn you can come also to buy tulip bulbs.
Kind regards,
Daan and Anja

hi, i will be coming to amsterdam on 18-19, i know the keukenhof opens until 21 may 2017, however, getting in the park isn't my greatest interested, i was wondering if the flower field in the area still open and which one is still open, can i rent a bike and cycling there for free? (i know renting a bike costs money, but how much would it cost to visit the flower field?) thank you please advice me
Written April 20, 2017
Hello,
Sorry, I think there are no flowerfields anymore. We are open till 15 may. You only can see flower in the Keukenhof.
Kind regards,
Anja Jansze
