I came here during autumn season, the best spot in this park was the Japanese garden.
Looking at huge number of cherry trees, I believe it will be a good spot during cherry blossom season in April.
It has large park, a house tea which serving japanese tea, and some facilities like rest room and resting places.
Except the Japanese Garden and Tea House, entering this park is free.
The park is walking distance from a train station (JR line).

Came here to see the cherry blossoms and wasn't disappointed. Will come again next year. Check the various local websites for the timing as the season is very weather dependent.

In addition to the open spaces, botanical garden, and ancient imperial grounds, there is often a local festival or celebration going on. Uniquely, there is a small burial ground where a small family of Tanukis (Racoon Dogs) live that not even the locals know about!

At first we've trying to enter the Tumulus -one of the largest tomb in the world from the Queens era. Tell you what? Don't waste your time on that. Luckily we just moved to the Daisen park which is very big including few ponds, wetsern style and japanese style parks (separate), Peace tower (they don't offer the rooftop sightseeing), bicycle museum, Sakai city museum.
apart from the busy life this place remind me of my home country and the fresh air lots of tree. Just Nice. come there and you'll feel it too.

I went to there Nov. 11th. The fall foliage was not enough deep, so if you would go there on end of November you could enjoy beautiful fall foliage. Japanese garden is part of the Daisen Park which need a entrance fee for ¥200. When I visited there they displayed Chrysanthemum contest fair.

Beautiful park, one of the best in the "Osaka" area. The flower garden requires to pay a ticket.
There are just a couple of restaurants and cafés so I am not sure it's easy to have a good coffee, but the town is not far.
Definitely a good place to take a rest.

Beautiful park - not a big park but has many elements to it. I enjoyed walking through it and listening to the birds singing in the morning. The lake was nice and it was great to walk across the little bridge. Didn't have time to visit the Japanese garden nor the bicycle museum.

Since the Mozu Tombs Group, including the tomb of Emperor Nintoku, was designated a World Heritage Site, I decided to walk around this area for the first time.
Daisen Park is a park adjacent to the south side of the tomb of Emperor Nintoku. Just across the road from the worship site of the tomb of Emperor Nintoku, you will find Magodayuyama Tomb. Heading further south, there are more and more tombs, including five or six within this park alone.
The park is lush with greenery and has a well-maintained grass field, making it a place of relaxation for local residents.
