We used Boats and Fun for a recent family trip for Spring Break in early March 2020, before things got crazy with Covid-19. Chartered private water taxi from Pine Island to North Captiva Island and everything went smoothly. The staff was accommodating, very nice and laid back. We had 6 adults and lots and lots of groceries for our week stay. They took care in handling the groceries and bags Having 6 adults, it made more sense cost-wise to do the private water taxi rather than normal ferry. Would Definitely do it again!

Could not have been more pleased with the Boats and Fun crew on North Captiva Island. Friendly, helpful people, beautiful shop with nice stuff. We rented a golf cart that was in tip top shape vs the many POS golf carts on the island. Rented a fishing pole for a day and got some fishing supplies as well. Thanks again for the great service fellas!

I highly recommend Boats and Fun on North Captiva Island. My family of six had a great fishing expedition with Captain Daltyn. He made sure we found fish and he made it fun for everyone. He spent the whole time baiting hooks and telling us fun facts about the area and the fish we were catching . And best of all he cleaned the fish when we got back! Highly recommend and definitely would do this again.

It should be called Boats and No Fun because that is how we felt after our experience.
My family recently rented a boat from Boats and Fun on North Captiva. The first day was great. On the second day after exiting the marina, it was very clear to us that it was not a good day for boating due to winds. We made it to a nearby marina to fill the boat with gas and was told they were discouraging their boat renters from going out that day. We decided that there would be no way that we could have any fun at all with the high winds and choppy waters and seven people on the boat and decided to return to the Boats and Fun Marina around 11:30 am.
Boats and Fun did not care even though the conditions were such that the ride would have been no fun and everyone on the boat would have been bounced around. We proposed a credit toward another half day rental and they said no. They ended up only giving us a $69 credit, the difference between a half and full day rental (we essentially paid half day price - for about an hour and a half on the water that day).
We cannot understand why they would insist on making people feel the need to take their boats out in uncomfortable and possibly unsafe conditions. Customer service is severely lacking and customer satisfaction, is apparently, not a concern of theirs.

We took a 4 hour boat tour around North Captiva/Pine Island area. Captain Mike was thoroughly professional but also lots of fun, had great stories and a wealth of information about the history of the area and all the sights. He made sure we saw alligators and manatees, and scouted pods of dolphins until we were able to get some great pix of them following the boat! Wonderful time, would recommend.

We have been to North Captiva a few times and have always taken the NCIC Ferry.
This past spring we reserved a round trip private water taxi to haul our family of five as well as our luggage and groceries. It was a great experience all around and the kids loved the ride. The team is very accommodating and even called when an earlier time slot opened. Our groceries were delivered to the marina early and they moved to them to the island and secured them in the shade. We also parked our car for the week with them which worked out very well. I highly recommend Boats and Fun!

Our 3 hour cruise with Captain Rob Finnie was filled with information and fun. He did his best to entertain us (three middle aged couples) and to provide averything we requested. He even tried to get the dolphins to “play” with us. We highly recommend him as a captain and Boats and Fun as a provider.

We have been to Captiva many times and this was our first time on North Captiva. We have done the shelling tour to Coya Costa in the past and wanted to do that again. When we looked at the pricing, it was almost the same cost to split a boat rental with the other family traveling with us. We had the boat for 8 hours. The MAJOR benefit was that when we arrived at Coya Costa, it was very windy and the shelling was poor. We were able to get back on the boat, go see some manatees and anchor off of another island that was almost private and shell for the rest of the day. The folks at the marina were very nice and knowledgeable and helped us with any question we had. They helped us get out of the marina and helped us dock when we arrived. We paid a small fee to upgrade to a 24' boat and it was worth it. Hands down we will rent from Boats and Fun again! You will not be dissappointed.

We took a wildlife and snorkeling tour with Captain Robin from the North Captiva location. Wonderful tour from a friendly and helpful guide. We also bought fresh fish and seafood from the store multiple days as well as gifts and supplies. Rachel, Matias and every other member of the staff were super friendly and helpful. This is one of the highest levels of customer service I’ve seen at any tour company. My family and I also really appreciated the care taken with COVID-19 precautions. Highest recommendation!

We arrived 1 hour early to the boat dock at Pine Island & Captain Sam was able to pick us early! It was much appreciated after a long day of travel. Our 3 year old daughter was less than thrilled to wear her life jacket, but Capt Sam made the trip to N Captiva enjoyable. A few days later we chartered a boat to Cabbage Key & Cayo Costa through Boats & Fun. We were lucky enough to have Capt Sam at the helm. He strategically got us to the restaurant before the rush, was able to get numerous dolphins to surf the wake from the boat, showed us manatees, quizzed our 13 year old daughter with marine trivia, he even gave us useful tips to find sand dollars and other unique shells. On the way back to Boats & Fun Capt Sam took our family photo in front of the historic Ice House which ended up being the best family photo of our vacation.
