Today I got to see one of my bucket list goals achieved. As a young geology student 30yrs ago I had to give an oral presentation on the geology of White Island while standing atop Mt Tarawera. Over the years the weather has thwarted my landing on Whakaari and more recently the eruptions on Whakaari have halted all landing parties. Today I got to see her in the air... it was magic! We took our 11 and 9yr old daughters as well and they were mesmerised. Truly an amazing trip out to Whakaari.... just wonderful. Couldn't recommend this company and staff more highly!!

We took our two children aged 8 and 10 on this scenic flight today. The experience was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed by us parents too. The pilot Jo was very professional and welcoming. The white island volcano is a majestic site, has been here for 1000’s of years, our children are fascinated by Volcanoes, so we decided to go ahead, with a respectful thought for those who lost their lives on the volcanic island, recently and in the early 1900’s. I think it is important that we support our local business's especially after the covid-19 pandemic. If we don’t use these services they won’t exist.

It’s in the title... WOW what an amazing experience flying over White Island was, I would recommend doing this at least once in your life and the staff at White Island Flights were lovely via email and in person. Little shout out to our amazing pilot Mark, you made our flight extra special with the knowledge you have and kindness you showed. Thank you Mark. I had booked this flight as a surprise for my partner for our anniversary before the sad events that occurred there (RIL to those that lost their lives and condolences to the families) so I was unsure if I wanted to go ahead at first but I am glad I still went ahead as I don’t think I will ever see anything like it again. Everything has a risk when it comes to Mother Nature but I do want to say that everything was checked and explained to us before flying over so I felt safe (and nervous). Highly recommend you put this on your bucket list!!

Six of us went on the Mt Tarawera, two flights of three, Joanne brilliant pilot and had a good knowledge of the area. Really intesting and worth every cent, very hospitable at the airport, nothing was too much trouble, would highly recommend this tour and would not hesitate in doing it again.

Booked this flight at very short notice. Joanne responded very quickly and was our pilot for our flight. We very much enjoyed our flight - even as the visibility was not great. The flight was smooth, Joanne was a great guide and very safe and competent pilot. Would recommend
