My visit around the museum was very enjoyable. Lots of local history and well presented. Museum staff were helpful. You can take your time and learn about the Whakatane region.

What a great museum. Lots of reading to do and a great exhibition with a lot of history recorded and artifacts as well. Certainly worth stopping by to visit.

We called in to see what was there and were pleased we did. The exhibitions inside were great. We were met by native bird song and enjoyed the excellent displays and paintings.
