The lady was so helpful & wanted us to make the most of our stay while in the Coromandel. If only all staff in information centres were this helpful. The lady was so enthusiastic about what Coromandel Town had to offer, I just wanted to absorb all the interesting detail. Thanks for your time.

Wished I had stopped in sooner. Received great advice here on walks, history and what was happening in the town.

We loved the setting of this cute little information center, under a stone archway in the Samuel James Reserve...and just down the street from the Assay House and the laundromat with an old time wringer washing machine on its roof! What a fun place to visit.

We got good information about the trails or directions to take when driving all the way up north. Also additional information on The Driving Creek Railway.

Along the pohutukawa-dotted coast we start the climb to Coromandel, than its a pretty easy roll from the top of the saddle into the township. you’ll see a plethora of signs advertising fresh and smoked fish, mussels and oysters. Seafood is plentiful around here. The township sits in a broad bay, home to plenty of charming little shops and galleries. Amazingly there are no chain stores that dominate the streetscape in similar sized towns. There a number of great cafes and restaurants. Check out Long Bay motor Camp for incredible sunsets and beaches nearby. If you want more seclusion, Tucks Bay has incredible birdlife

I arrived here mid-afternoon on the Intercity coach and headed straight for the Information Centre to get a street map and find out about local attractions and tour companies. The staff were really great and very helpful and I left there with lots of ideas and information to help me have a great time during my time in Coromandel Town

The information available from the well located information Centre was extensive and easy to access. The staff were very helpful. There is also an extensive array of information outside the centre that provides well for those times when the Centre is not staffed.

Lovely quaint building in central area. Close to large car park out the back, great for motorhomes like we were travelling in. Helpful staff and good info provided. Spotlessly clean toilets next door in same building.

Anything you need to know about the Pennisula is available at this Centre and staff go out of their way to be helpful with wonderful suggestions on how to spend your time touring. They are also very good at arranging accommodations if needed. Toilets are available at this site too which is wonderful before boarding a bus tour.
