The railway is a hour-long ride towards St. Thomas and back. The open-air passenger cars made for a nice breezy ride on a very hot day. The cars could use a little cosmetic maintenance, such a some paint and a better audio system, since we couldn't hear the tour guide. All in all, it was a relaxing little excursion.

15 dollars per person for a neat little train ride up the road and back. Opened aired cart with very hard wooden seats. Would be nice if the they padded them. Saw a couple deer in a field.

Very enjoyable way to spend some train time! The conductor/commentator was extremely well informed and delivered his information with skill, enthusiasm and of course a touch of humour. Just enough info for the average tourist, my train guy and he spoke "train" later one to one. A delightfully sunny and warm Canada Day and it was not too busy, enough... More

This is a pleasant ride on a train between Port Stanley and the south side of St Thomas. It is relaxing and a chance to discover the landscape in Elgin County.

we enjoyed our experience on the historical port stanley rail system during the Indian summer time which displayed awesome fall colours. Our next to do item on our busy list is to take this train experience when a mystery ride, Hallowe'en ride or Christmas ride is scheduled. what an asset to have this ride available--many cudos to all the volunteers.

I see many of the recent reviews are done by folks local to the area, sorry to anger the locals, but I reviewing and rating this as someone who visits railroads and railroad exhibits while traveling and made a point to visit this attraction. I know the local folks probably put a lot of time and energy keeping this attraction... More

Was a neat train depot. Has a train ride that takes you through the countryside very nice. About an hour. A gift shop. Children would love it. Nice visit.

We went in July 2015 with our 2 year old. He was in awe (for the most part). I recommend sitting in the window-less cart, as it can get very hot and the breeze is refreshing. Go a little early to ensure a good spot! The ride was an hour and a half (a bit too long for our 2... More

We went on Easter weekend and had a great time with the kids. The train ride was a good experience and then we headed to a Park and had an egg hunt and met with the Easter Bunny, what a great excursion for the kids!!
