The mosque is right alongside the Beyazid Medical museum. It is quite an ornate mosque with nice grounds and a clean accessible toilet. If you travel back to the city heading East along the road outside, you will pass through the Sarayici complex, where the Sultan had his palace. There are several ancient buildings in this area, including the palace kitchens (which are being restored), the Royal hunting lodge, and the Palace of Justice. There are also monuments to the fallen of the Balkan Wars, and the stadium where the oil wrestling takes place, not to mention at least two more very old bridges. It's a very pleasant stroll in the countryside!.

Well worth a visit! A little distance from the centre of town but worth the taxi/ bus which will be very inexpensive.

This mosque smaller than other Sultan's mosque but also it has very nice paint and artwork on wall and top. If you visit Şifahane, you have to see at the same time.

We walked from the centre of town across the bridge. The mosque and the old hospital buildings stand in fields and grass across the river. When we crossed a mare and her foal were crossing in the other direction.
Everything about the place was beautiful, the roses, the clear and interesting displays on the very advance knowledge the ancient Turks had of medicine, the buildings and the people.
One of my favourite place ever.
