Zoo which has become known for the panda bears. During our visit, only the father panda could be seen. The mother was hidden from the public with her young. The walking route was determined by the Corona measures. The given time slot was of no use to us, it was too busy like people. Zoo is beautiful, small in design. nice for an hour or two.

The zoo is normally a fantastic place. Nowadays, many areas are closed. It’s still a nice place to visit however, there’s no social distancing. The Panda area which is obviously one of the main attractions is packed and there’s no control whatsoever so you can see the panda for a couple of minutes at a high risk. There’s hand gel in many places and toilets had soap and paper. We visited on a Tuesday and it was crowded, even though there are time slots to get in the zoo.

We went there again and all still great but for sure no limit on visitors and as always ignorant people who don’t follow the one way rules.
No observers to correct people, all free to do as they wish

At Least once a year we visit this Ouwehands Zoo for our nephew's birthday who lives not far from this place. The new and the most wanted to see of this zoo is the Pandas but I still love the Bear forest.

I went to this Zoo because I wanted to visit China Light Festival. Because it was dark i did not see much of the zoo, but that was okay.
The lights were lovely and although it was pretty busy, there was plenty of space of people to walk around and take photos. Such a cool experience.

Wow, hadn't been in this zoo for ages.

Let's get it out here, it feels pretty dated, even though it has been some renovations ?
As usual, most bigger animals are bored to death in too small enclosures, sad.
So they have panda's. Seen them, doing their usual business of either sleeping or eating bamboo.

Food wise, it's really disappointing. Most zoo's nowadays also serve decent food, instead of just (fried) fast food. Also the choice in wines & beers are very limited.

Definitely there are other zoo's I prefer.

This is a rather old zoo, which is currently being renovated in some areas. During the low season some snack stands are also closed on weekends. The zoo tries to increase the number of visitors with special attractions. The pandas, which are presented in a huge house with generous outside facilities, are of course worth mentioning. A very good Asian restaurant with delicious wok dishes at reasonable prices is also available here. With the big souvenir shop specialized on pandas, one primarily covers the needs of children, who usually find the pandas cute. For children, there are several play areas on the zoo grounds, including a large hall with play and climbing equipment.

A China Light Festival takes place at the end of the year. The illuminated figures are already impressive in daylight, but only come into their full glory in the dark.

The entrance fee is a little too high, which also applies to the parking fee.

Plenty of parking availability. It's a great walk through the zoo on a sunny day with plenty of animals to see.

This Dutch zoo is a compact zoo and ideal for families with young children. The zoo was founded in 1932 and while they have added bit and pieces to the zoo, it still felt like an older zoo. We have been to other zoos in The Netherlands (e.g. Beekse Bergen, GaiaPark, etc.) where animals have far more space and room to wander around. The building where the two pandas were housed was impressive and we noticed that staff cares for the animals on park.

We enjoyed our afternoon but with older children, we felt that a larger zoo for roughly the same entrance price would have worked better for us.
