We went on a busy Saturday but we still had a great time and could find good spots to watch the feeding of the seals. There are a lot of other things to see and do besides the seals. Definitely recommend this for families.

On Texel is nio much to do in Winter time so Ecomare was just a nice little change next to enjoying nature. Nice little museum and care center for seals. A bit more for children, but nice idea doing something for the environment too.

Ecomare is much more than an attraction to go through mindlessly, you can learn a lot and come to understand how important the sea is and all life that lives in the sea. They do a lot of good things and deserve anyone's support. Even our 11 month old granddaughter watched the fish with amazement.

I used to go here as a kid on our summer holidays. Went back as a 32 year old and it was fantastic. There's multiple basins, they now have porpoises too, not just seals and birds. There's a lot to see inside as well. Very impressed with the new whale room with lots of skeletons of different whales. You could... More

Here you find everything about sealife and nature from Texel and other isles. Very good for children's education and even for yours. Nice to visit on a rainy day and find out what life on an isle can be interesting. Of course the sealions and others are very pretty to see.

We timed our visit so that we can catch both the dolphin and the seals demonstrations/feedings. Between those events, we visited the museum and aquarium and learned a lot about the ecology and history of the area. The museum is very modern, with many interactive displays and very child-friendly. It has information about life in the sea and on the... More

Nice little sea museum with a busy aquarium and sea-lions to see. This activity should be planned on a rainy day but of course can be appreciated with good weather :-)

The visit to Ecomare is worth it and, furthermore, the money is used to host and cure hurt animals, like seals, porpoises, gannets, etc... The sea aquarium is particularly interesting as well as the 5 KM walk in the dunes behind Ecomare.
