Our family surfing lesson with Erik was the absolute favourite part of our kids (ages 14, 13 and 11) recent vacation in the Netherlands.....my husband loved it too and my decision to stay on shore and take photos left me with major regrets! Erik worked hard to move between them in the water, giving them some extra hands on coaching and help in the water. He clearly loves what he is doing. The 25 euro price is a steal for a lesson, board and wetsuit! We would highly recommend this activity. My kids are already planning a return trip!

Really great surf school especially for beginners! Beau and Eric take a lot of time to explain the theory, show you some surf workout and answer all your surf-related questions even after the lesson is done. You can tell that they really love to pass on their passion for surfing and their knowledge.
The prices are totally fair and the instructions during the lessons help you learn quickly. It is also possible to just rent a board and practice on your own. And: brand new wetsuits! :D

Excellent surf school - we were a group of 4 friends with no surfing experience and few waves, but we still had an amazing time!
The surf school called well in advance to warn us of the calm conditions but offered paddle boarding as a second option which we loved.
They were very professional giving us a safety briefing and even a warm up on the beach! The guide (whose name we didn’t catch) was excellent and very patient with us all! He was friendly and professional, making sure he gave us each individual tips on how to paddle board/ surf better!
At only €25 for nearly 2 hours it was a bargain ...We loved it and would definitely recommend it to others! :)

Erik and his top motivated and super friendly team got us (44, 11, 9) all riding the waves in no time. And we had the most fun doing it! Highly recommended!

Well, what can I say, we have been @ Foamball in 2013, 14, 15 and 16. Of course we would rate, that the teachers are excellent, flexible, customer oriented, motivating and most important FUN teachers, but I would not consider us as fully objective anymore :-) On the hard ware side, the location got bigger&better and the material was again brand new in 2016.

I took three lessons spread out over two weekends on Texel. I had never (wave)surfed before but after lesson one I was able to stand up and ride the foam straight to the beach. And after lesson three I was able to surf on the shoulder.
These guys are great instructors and very knowledgeable.
Besides how to stand on your board and paddle. They explain everything about waves, how they form, how to select the one to go for and how the sandbanks and tides influence them. And of course how to be safe in the water.
Thank you Jorik, Miko and Erik for a great experience.

Very nice, laid back guys knowing what they are doing. Enthusiastic about surfing, the waves, the beach everything.
Lessons are great. First some theory then a little warm up and some practice on the beach and then you'll hit the waves. Safety and fun is the main issue during their lesson. And we did have so much fun without any injuries (not considering my blue and purple shins) or incidents.
We are definitely coming back and the next time there better be coffee, otherwise I have to rewrite this review! ;)

Me and my friend from New-Zealand came to Texel for a good day of surfing. On Thursday we met Erik and his friends. Erik told us about his surfschool, his crew and surf lessons. Friday we decided to go to this surfschool Foamball, to meet Erik and to go into the water to catch some waves. The weather was good, the sun was shining. The waves weren't that big, but for us it was great to begin with. For me it was a long time ago I did surfing. Erik and the other instructor Miko told me how to stand and to get up on the board again. It worked!
The surfboards at the school are from good quality, the instructors are helpful, friendly and enthusiastic. Me and my friend had a amazing 1 day holiday on Texel thanks to Erik, Miko, Jorik and his crew!

A recently ( 2013 ) opened surf school on the beach of de Koog. teachers with an academic background in economy, what more could you ask for? Subsequently, fair prices!
Our sons liked the lessons and the instructors very much and would gladly have gone every day of their two week holiday. We shall certainly be returning next year.
