This was my first time doing skydiving. The procedure was smooth and before we (jumpers) received enough information what/when/how to do. The staff were all super kind and helpful. The experience is unforgettable especially because of the wonderful view what we saw during the free-fall and parachuting. I really recommend for extreme sport lovers!!…

Incredible first tandem jump!! So good in fact that I signed up to jump again the next day. Waiting for the clouds to clear is all part of the experience and just adds to the adrenaline rush. I booked a so-called "tandem jump" at Paracentrum Texel after having enjoyed a scenic flight by Tessel Air. Pretty impulsive, but this is a pretty big operation used to people (literally) jumping in and out for their first taste of skydiving. I literally had no time to reconsider the wisdom of jumping out of a plane from 3000 metres: I showed up at the check-in counter at 2:30 pm as scheduled and was back on the ground at 4pm! Apparently, it doesn't always work out like that and Paracentrum advises you to spare about 4 hours for the entire experience in case of delays due to changing weather, refuelling etc. The instructions are really brief and minimal - again, no time to think, which might not suit everyone - but the staff made a professional impression and I never got the feeling that safety was anything less than primordial. My instructor was really reassuring and confidence-inspiring, and needless to say, the skydive itself was a wonderful experience tattooed directly into my brain. Finest instructors for Military Static Line training. They took the seats out of a Pollish Antonav Cub so we could Stand up, Hook up, and shuffle to the door, with a stand up exit.

Wow what a great 1.5 days. My course instruction was really great. I am only partly Dutch speaking/understanding and I was able to completely feel comfortable with all instruction and guidance. Everyone was friendly and professional and it made the experience even better. I highly recommend for anyone that is a bit of an adrenaline junkie. :)…
