Before leaving for the Centerparcs nearby we already planned a visit to this museum. We travelled as a family with two kids. Everyone was impressed and excited about what we saw. Even my wife who is not really into "all that computer things" really enjoyed it. It was not only the old computers, it was the whole museum (with the wallpapers, the old phones, photo cameras e.t.c.).
That museum surpassed all our expectations. I can really only recommend this one. If you love retro computing and you hesitate whether this museum is worth it i can just say: Go for it !
There is an arcade which is included in the entry ticket where you can do some retro gaming. But honestly: All the old computers that still work run some games on it. So when you reach the arcade you probably already had an hour of gaming or so :-)
That said this is exactly another great plus of this museum: In contrary to other museums you can explicitly touch everything (except the personnel i was told ;-) ). It is not only allowed but even endorsed to touch and play with it.
I found all my old loves: Tandy TV Scoreboard, ZX Spectrum, C64, A500, 1040ST, ...
Really impressed. Kudo's to the friendly stuff for their good work in repairing these and letting people use them.
A must see / do for enthousiasts
