My son and I used to take a weekly trip to the zoo here. We loved it. It was fun for him to see the animals and play in the big inside park, which was great on warm days. We dined over the giraffe pit and had a great time every time we went. It is definitely worth a trip... More

I make a point of visiting this zoo every time I am in Europe. I have been to zoos in numerous countries and states, including the highly acclaimed San Diego Zoo, but have yet to find one that is nicer than this one. The animals are in large, natural enclosures. It is easy to see most of the animals up... More

I've visited quite some zoos, but this one is still my favourite. I've come to GaiaZoo at least once a year since they opened 10 years ago, and it's still a great place to visit. The nicest thing about it is that it keeps changing, every time you can see new things or animals. The zoo is not very big,... More

Really special. Entry through a brilliant natural area. The whole place is themed on biomes and biospheres, hence the name Gaia. Dinosaur area would drive a normal kid to extreme happiness. Dad's like me also get a secret pleasure viewing the life size brachiosaurus and T Rex. Special mention of waffle joint Sequoia, pictured. Modest looking but tasty and friendly.

This is a very nice and beautiful zoo divided in 4 different zones and themes such as the Amazone and the Savane. Don't look for tigers or elephants as they not really fit in these themes. The walking paths and the views are beautiful. The animal enclosures look really like the natural habitat of the animals and I especially liked... More

We had a really good day out at the zoo. There are a large variety of animals to see. The enclosures are well kept and look comfortable for the animals. There is excellent viewing at all enclosure and this meant that animals that are normally difficult to spot were visible. It cost 56 euros for 2 adults, a four yr... More

We visited the Zoo back in the days when it was brand new in 2005 and saw it had great potential. We went back now but were a bit disappointed. A not unimportant part of the animals were hard to see because of the abundant shrubbery and trees or were inside. The footpaths can get narrow and when there are... More

Gaia Zoo scores every year as best zoo of the Netherlands. It is a lovely place where the animals live the most natural lives as possible in a zoo. It is a real nice green park, so also nice to just walk around in.

Its only a few years old, so the concept is to give animals the space they need. A nice place to see al kinds of animals.
