Following all recommendations we went to the park with our 2 small kids and my parents. After entering fee (almost 50 € for 4 adults and a car) we had to add 2 for the map and even pay to use the toilets. Then we took the famous bikes which had no geer and not comfortable to drive, especially with... More

In the Centre of this National Park is the Kroller Muller Museum housing a collection of Van Gogh work along with others. For an extra fee you can drive right up to the Museum. You can also walk in several kilometers. However, the best way to the Museum is to bike in. At the park entrance there are a huge... More

My Dutch friend took me here and I absolutely loved it! The bikes were not the best ones I've had, but they get a big bonus for being free (and there were always lots of bikes to choose from) and biking the almost 30 kilometers wasn't too hard when I was able to keep my backpack in the kids seat.... Doesn't feel like the Netherlands! It's such varied and unique landscapes which make it well worth visiting. Bikes are included with the <10 euro entry price and can be picked up after the entry gates, buy online for quicker entry. Pack a picnic and on the way there's plenty of spaces to stop. Would recommend one of the cycling routes... More

The veluwe has a lot of beautyfull hiking spots, this one is a payed one but worth it. We walked a shorter route (8km). It was a nice walk, good for not very experienced hikers. Unfortunately the hunting house was already closed when we were visiting..

I've visited this park with my woman at the end of July. The entrance is affordable for Dutch standards and you can use the bikes in the park for free. We decided to make use of the bikes in the park, but they're not that comfortable, so if you'd go there to bike, I'd recommend taking your own bike. The... More

We have been visiting the Arnhem area for over 10 years now with our 3 kids and always return to the Hoge Veluwe for a day trip. From the free white bikes and endless bike paths to a picnic by the lake to the coffee and yummy cake in the Koperon Kop we love it all. I don't think you... More
