The museum is quite small inside but the basement exhibits are arranged to draw you along the story of a fascinating area from prehistory to almost present day. A must visit, in my view, for anyone who lives or holidays in the area.

We took children to this local museum and it was the perfect size to keep them interested and wanting to learn more. It isn't on a grand scale but a very good introduction to the area, well kept and clean.

Admission to the museum also includes admission to the museum of the dunes which is situated in the Tourist Information Office. The museums give a good general introduction to the history of the town.
