We visited this museum with my family, and were so greatly pleased with the visit! We were not expecting to find such an outstanding place hidden in the middle of that peaceful countryside village.
Not only it is the largest museum of magic in the world, it also has an outstanding collection of 43 automats of the XIX and XX centuries (all fully working as the first day), and an impressive collection of artifacts, musical instruments, visual illusions, tarot and black magic stuff, stage magician devices, curiosities, antiques...
It is full of many little "treasures" collected by illusionist Xevi from all around the world, mostly linked to a variety of famous stage magicians and celebrities including Dalà and Pope John Paul II.
All in all, a visit worth the 5€ entrance fee!

Xevi met us in person and walked and talked us through his house of everything. He was extremely friendly and took his time to show his love for magic.

Four of us arrived at Xevi’s house just before 7.00pm and he spent the next hour and a half showing us his house of magical history. Although there were only 9 of us in total, he patiently explained things in both Spanish and broken English. The finally was a display of his magic skills. A great experience, don’t miss it if in the area.

We were a group of friends (20 people) visiting la costa brava. A friend recommended the museum. Very interesting museum. Xevi himself explaining stories with celebrities and making some tricks in the theatre. All of us, children and adults, enjoyed it a lot.

Extraordinary. Mr. Xevi is one of the most inspirational and approachable people we met recently. Impressive story. Lots of collectibles otherwise not possible to see. Fun for children too. Opening times on google can be a bit misleading - best to consult their website before the visit.

We had an amazingly magical day!
We were met by Xevi in person and invited to join a children’s school trip, as we had arrived on a day that was not an official visit day.
The museum contains some of the worlds oldest and greatest mechanical memorabilia that date through the halls of all the magic circles greatest magician eras.
All working, with enchanting and sometimes chillingly haunting fun, they move and perform acts of magic.
Xevi himself is a man that has met the gamut of stars and celebrities , ranging from Sean Connery to Pope JeanPaul 2nd!
The museum is amazing , showcasing the scale of his life , from rooms that show the dark side of magic , to a beautiful chapel that has all of the religious charm, spiced with a twinkling twist!
We even were lucky enough to see Xevi perform some of his illusionist artistry in person!
Wow!
Do not miss this rare gem :))

Went with my nine and eleven year olds. I have never seen anything like it. The proprietor Xevi is a famous (retired) Magic Circle magician and the collection represents his life's work. Parts of it were quite poignant - he has worked with many of the great 20th century magicians including many who are no longer with us.
Not sure if it suitable for very young kids (ie below 2 years).
