I love castles, however this one wasn't open when I went so didn't get to really see the inside.

Beautiful city and the views from the castle were nice. The castle could use some fixing up and open more days.

The castillo is not open during the week, in winter, but it is worth to walk up there, anytime. The park is small, but very nice. There are many chairs and benches, which invite you to relax. And it is very close to the center of Catelldefels.

Not quite a castle but worth a quick visit
Aug 2018 • Family
Only explored the outside, took the long walk up to the top, shame about the dog poo and graffiti, because its a scenic spot in the old town area.
Nothing spectacular, but it's nice walk t9 break up the day or trip to town.

Worth the walk

Be prepared for the hike up the hill, unless of course you go by car....! Lovely old small castle, used to be a private home, lots of history but does need some restoration work. Great views from the top, and land views from the top of the tower. Make sure you have water as there are no facilities when you get up there but there are some great little places back in the town.

Worth the walk up the hill past the various historic towers!
Apr 2018 • Couples
Did the walking tour of the town noting the ancient tower defences until we reached the summit, grounds and the castle. Inside renovations have been made and information is provided. Entrance was free but we would gladly have made a donation toward its restoration. This is a self guided tour of the castle and town. Booklets are available at various hotels etc. The castle is family friendly .

open once a month
Aug 2016 • Solo
The castle itself looks interesting from distance but to get inside, you'd have to plan your trip months in advance as it is open only once a month. Second Sunday, I think. It is surrounded by a beautiful park so if you don't fancy going down to beach, go for a stroll around.

Empty space
Nov 2015 • Family
It has nothing. Fortunately we didn't pay for the entrance, we visited on a Sunday that was free but on the inside it has nothing, even my son who likes castles was pretty bored. The only thing we liked was the views from the top of the castle

Only open second Sunday of Month.
May 2016
This place is only open second Sunday of the month and the surroundings aren't all that exciting. So unless you're here on the second sunday or have a guided tour don't bother.
