It gets very crowded on Summer holidays and even more on weekends. The sand is white and clean..many families with children, many tourists from all over Spain and France.

This scenic sheltered safe beach area is perfect for families. The beach itself is gravelly but the bay is very scenic and the water generally warm, calm and clear. There is a grocery store nearby and a beachfront promenade with shady areas along with nearby...More

The colorful umbrellas, of the visitors, make this beach very pretty. It had a surrounding area of restaurants and a wonderful tree that provides shade, with benches, and you can play bocce if you bring your own set. There are various places to be in...More

Beautiful pebbly beach, if rather sore walking into the sea. Stunning scenery around the cove. Water is crystal clear and calm enough to bob around on an inflatable quite safely. It is busy, but it's a relatively small area and so doesn't feel crowded, but...More

This little town beach is quaint and has 3 different areas, the big area in front of the town, a narrow strip between 2 rocks to the right, and after that a small cove. The beach sand is mostly little rocks, for those who prefer...More

A beautifully structured cove beautiful scenery and gorgeous water. Many places to eat, bring water shoes. Get there early bring your own chairs, there are none to rent. Parking is tougher the later you arrive.

We where there in April so very empty beach. I have seen photos in the heat of the summer and it seems to get too crowded. If you find yourself there take a walk to the left.... there is a fantastic rock formation.... 4/5

One of the best beaches of Costa Brava in a beautiful little village surrounded by the pine trees. Very good restaurants along the beach. You can walk to the others beaches through the pine forest of along the seaside. Like everywhere else, it gets a...More

I spent two weeks in Tamariu across the Easter holidays in April earlier this year, with my parents. Me and my Dad would spend every morning walking across the beach front and exploring across the rocks, early doors about 7:30am, and enjoy the views and...More

We spent two weeks in Tamariu and were at this beach most of the time. Easy parking (except perhaps in highest season)uphill along the main access road or in a large parking area in the trees about 2 blocks uphill. There are about 10 little...More

By public transportation? I'm afraid it would take 3h. Collblanc - Sants- Girona - Palafrugell - Tamariu If it's by car , it's about 1h30 taking into consideration the traffic situation at departure. Hope this... More

Yes. You can park your car in the village, it's less than 5 minutes by walk far from the beach. Watch out : it's overcrowded in medium and high season. :) Enjoy your stay there as much as we enjoyed it !
