Frustrating wait to get in, had to wait till 4pm Sunday. But worth the wait (we waited in Ajo de Sopas restaurant and had stunning tapas!) glorious cathedral and the El Greco in the museum as you come out is breathtaking.

From the outside you can not really see that the cathedral is rather big. But more important inside it is very beautiful decorated.

Beautiful architecture and wonderful interior. Much larger than you might imagine. Allow a good hour to take it all in and also walk all the way round it!. An ancient place of worship that has relevance today.

Found this gem on a quick visit to Palencia. If you are visiting Palencia, seek this out. The architecture is stunning.
This building has nearly the whole history of Gothic architecture in its fabric. One excepts the earliest Northern French, but everything else is here, even the transition towards the Italian renaissance, and the beginning of the baroque.
I can strongly recommend you to visit this beautiful Cathedral. Every corner and every part offers you something amazing to see. If you are lover of Gothic art then this is the right place to see!
