Very welcoming when arrived. Room was extremely clean and tidy however towards end of the week could have done with regular sweeping. Balcony had bird poop on it which wasn't cleaned - eventually asked reception to clean it as the amount doubled after a couple...More

Had a really nice day here, although it was very windy. Nice to walk around the area and enjoy the atmosphere of the local cafes

Cloudy morning so decided to walk up this volcano. Situated behind the hotel it is quite easy to find the start of the path through the residential area behind the hotel. Quite steep in places and , although cloudy, it was very warm. Go early...More

Its nice to do things for free on holiday having forked out for flights and accommodation. Hiking is my favourite pastime and cost's nothing. Its easy to hike in 32c heat in Lanzarote due to the constant breeze and Montana Roja would be classed as...More

Don't be put off by the size of Montana Roja from the path along the seafront! It really is a gentle stroll up to the crater. There is a path around the crater that allows you to have a 360 degree view over Lanzarote and...More

Even though the place can be busy, the service was excellent. The food too was good. What I like about these places are the professional waiters who can explain the menu if you are not fluent in Spanish

To answer your question, if you are fit enough to walk to the top, the walk to the start is definitely within walking distance. The signage is not too brilliant but, in fact, it does become fairly obvious which path to... More

I would say best by taxi. From Tropical island a guess would be 6-7 euros. You could walk to there in about 25-30 minutes.
